hi,
you may have two dedicated ceiling fan circuits coming out of that box, check to make sure theres not a black wire bunched up in the ceiling or cut off, or try this
1.white to white wires, and black wire and black with a white stripe to red wire out of ceiling for fan and light together operation
2. If you can find the black and the red and the white coming out of the ceiling then you may have two switches on the wall for that fan, red for black fan wire, black with white stripe for the to black out of the ceiling , white all together. try that combination
for separate light and fan control from the wall

Pull Chains Replacement
Replacements are available at Home Depot and Lowes. This is a regular 4-wire single-layer switch.
Mark the old wires, so you know which ports they go to in the switch (marked L, 1, 2, and 3) -- then remove the old wires by pressing a paper clip into the hole of each wire while pulling firmly on the wire. Then just push the wires into the new switch, into the marked holes.

Best choice to make in changing a capacitor
mcdevito75 here, It"s best ti stick with theh factory 5 microarad capacitor. Also see if the speed of this fan picks up when the other is off, they may both be on the same home circuit.
Fan is Erratic
Ceiling fans with wireless remote controls have an electronic receiver installed in the fan, which controls the light, dimming, and fan speed. Sometimes the receiver goes bad and needs to be replaced. If you have had any power outages or power surges, they may have fried the receiver. I've noticed that my ceiling fan light turns on when the power is restored after a power outage. Now, whenever my power goes out, I shut off the light switch that powers my ceiling fan so It doesn't experience a surge to to the controller when the power comes back on. I've purchased new receivers on eBay and Amazon to replace my blown remotes and receivers.
Pull chain for fan difficult to operate
All Hunter ceiling fans are "remote control" adaptable. Consider a remote control for it.
There are Nylon pull strings fitted with a ball clasps on the ends. Consider that, too.

hi,
up above the fan near the ceiling theres a cover or canopy that has to come off , and theyre inside there, and they have to be set the same as the remote or it wont work.

Fan stops working for days
hi,
sounds like theres some sort of radio interference in your house, you can try to change the code for the fan, turn off the breaker at the fuse box then in the canopy above the fan near the ceiling is the dip switch for the fan, you have to remove that cover near the ceiling and look for a tiny set of switches and change the position of them , also in the remote you have to take the batteries out and change that code in the remote so it matches the new code you set in the canopy. if it still does it you can try to unplug all of your cordless phones and wireless routers in the house, anything that you have with an antenna and turn it off and unplug those to see if that helps the situation.

Fan stopped working
Hello,
Sorry to give you the bad news, but the fan motor is the major component of the fan and once they go bad it is costly to just repair the motor or replace it. You would actually save more money by purchasing a brand new fan rather than try and repair the motor on the old one. It could also be a fire hazard if you try and keep running the fan because they heat up rather quickly when electrical current is applied and they do not function properly. So if you have a switch that controls the motor and lights, please make sure that the one the controls the motor is off, but can still be able to use the lights.

Hunter fan remote control 99600 not working
This must be a common problem, since I Googled the part number and it popped up before I completed the number. I am going to have to order a new remote, since I don't have a solder pen. Wish me luck.
