Try changing the frequency settings in the transmitter & receiver. If that doesn't work you might need a new receiver.

Press the light button and bottom green button at the same time the lights dimming feature will work!

If the light has a pull chain, pull it once and then push the light button on the remote. I think this is an add on remote so you can buy a new one if that doesn't work. Or, you can buy another fan as this is a low-end Hunter fan.

You won't be able to use the old remote! If your fan has pull chains for the fan & light, then you have an add-on remote so you can buy another one.

All Hunter fan model numbers are 5 digit and start with a 2. Are you having a problem with the fan?

replace batteries. While holding the light button, turn the wall switch go and off one or two times. You should hear a slight beep and the remote reacquaints itself to that receiver.

Call Hunter at 1-901-745-9222. I think this number is still current, it might not be. Tell them your issue, most likely they will send you an entire new unit (or is your fan the OLD Designer's Choice from the 80's with a rubber flywheel?)

You can have as many remote controls for the fan you would like so you can use it as you desire. So you need to buy another remote control excactly the same as the existing one. You can ask it from the store you already baugh the fan. If you need an additional online store here is a link

Kmart and Sears both have replacement remotes for Hunter Fans.
Look on the back of your remote for the model number and you can search
http://searspartsdirect.com using a model search for a replacement.
You can also call the Hunter Fan Company to find out the model of your remote here:
1-888-830-1326. They will ask for the model number of your fan.
The Hunter remotes for the original fans can be one of these 3 models: 27187, 22691 or 27189.
See if you can find one of those 3 numbers on your remote.

On some fans, yes, you can. If the fan has pullchains that control the light and the fan, then you can use it with the switch only. If it does not have pullchains, you need the remote control.
