I have a Remington Titanium Smart system R - 9500

It is probably just a coincidence that you are having a problem with the cleaning system after you changed the heads. Based on your description of the problem, it sounds like there is a clog in the system. Look for any blockages in the openings where the fluid goes into and out of the cleaning cup.

What is the procedure for replacing the batteries

There are three screws on the back of the shaver to be removed. One is easy to see. The second is visable when you extend the trimmer. The third is hard to get to and the trimmer must be disjointed at the top to get to it. Once all three screws are removed, you can remove the back cover. There are two batteries. To remove them you will need to unsnap and remove the long metal clip and then unsolder the wires connected to the batteries. There may also be a gummy substance holding a wire to the side of one of the batteries. You will need to use a razor blade to seperate it off along the side of the battery. Once the old batteries are removed, you can solder in new batteries and ten reassemble the shaver.

You will find batteries at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need to order two.

HELLO: I HAVE A REMINGTON R-9500

Model R-9500 has been discontinued for several years. It is very possible that the batteries are dead because they are so old. You may need to replace them. You will find the correct battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need 2

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/batteries/shaver-battery-pack-for-most-shavers-p-211.html

To change batteries, remove three screws on back. The third screw is hard to see. To access it, you will need to remove the trimmer from the point that it pivots out from the shaver. Use a small flat screwdriver to gently pry the small plastic pegs from their corresponding sockets on the shaver body. Remove back cover. Inside, remove the metal clip that covers the batteries near the bottom of the shaver. Unsolder the batteries from the wires. Solder in the new batteries.

If you are not able to repair the shaver yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See link below

R9500 charger/cleaner system doesn't operate.

As far as i know they don't sell the Base-system separately. Contact the Remington customer service, they may mail you one, for a price i'm sure, and if not a chance to get your money back.

Rather then you buying a new battery or a new charger or taking your entire shave apart wouldn't it be alot easier seeing how it is new to return it this way also it wouldn't cost you anything in replacement parts as well message me back on your decision if you choose to we can take apart your new shaver which would void any warranty as well Thanks again Rick

My smart system razor no longer charges. Have to

Hi, I had this same problem and did some research. In the beginning I was told it HAD to be sent back to Remington for the service. As with all electronics, I end up fixing them myself. I bought the replacement batteries from electricshaverstore.com for $15.00 and now it works great. Good Luck and I hope this helps!
* Make sure you get the R9000 Series Battery Replacement.
