once you finished the installation you ca activate the Norton program with your existing product key

If by that you mean that you want to activate Norton on 2 other computers then all you have to do is to use the same key that you have used on the first install.

Norton used to be very hard to uninstall. When I used it I went to the Symantec website for the uninstall information. Not sure about the renewed product key, sometimes under the "help" and then "about" there is info.

It's the same as the first one. Just install and register. You will still need your CD key. When you log in to Symantec it will recognize you and the subscriptiion will end the same date as the first.

Files are not backed up within Office itself. If you had the 360 backup configured to backup online, you will need to install 360 on the computer and then do a Restore from the backup module after you login to the Symantec website.

Did you backup online? Or did you backup on a second (external) drive? You can comment back.

what version u have bought is it volume copy or a retail copy if it is a retail copy u can use it on one pc thats all

Have you installed a second version of Norton? Or do you have another anti-virus program trying to run?
In general, if you have an all-in-one program like the one you have, don't use any others at the same time
That being said, if Norton 360 is the only program you are running, then you need to contact the company. They don't separate the various parts.
The only other explanation would be that the program hasn't updated correctly.

Hi. Norton can be finnicky at times. I had trouble a few days ago trying to update mine. Gave up one day and the next day it was fine. If you have been unsuccessful for a couple days then I would use the online help (chat) from Symantec. It is very good and is free for 360 users. Access it from the help menu.

If that is not satisfactory, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the product. You will need to be registered at Symantec and have the CD Key. If you choose this you should use the Norton Removal Tool found at:

Select your product. Save the file to your desktop. When the download finishes, run the program. Then reinstall the original program, and run Live Update first thing after verifying your subscription.
