MY LG DISHWASHER AND DRYER ARE DUDS

Hello,Sounds like a mechanical obstruction somewhere :->. Possible bad rollers or idler pulley. This could have snapped belt. Need to removed front door panel and lid to get at it. Open the door and rotate the inside drum by hand and see if it moves freely. If it does, you may rollers are probably good. Turn on power and listen for the motor turning on. If you hear a low hum then possible idler pulley or belt issue.LE error on DW - no quick fix here. I heard of wiring issues on the LG's, broken wires, that go from the control panel down to the motor/sensors/etc that result in this error code. I'm not up to speed on the LG dishwashers yet so maybe someone else can contribute.Rich

CHECK FILTER

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with the first thing you should do is to remove the lint filter and clean the lint out of inside where the lint screen goes. After this unplug the unit for 5-10 minutes and then push & hold the start/pause button for 10-15 seconds and reconnect the unit. If still it won’t work then it’s the sensor that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

How do you get into the dryer to change the

Not sure what country you are in, so I am unsure that the same conditions apply.

The gasline from the meter must be interrupted. Propane bottles connection pipe can then be brazed to the copper line . By law a propane regulator must be fitted between the bottle and the gqas line going to the dryer.

This must be fitted by a licensed gas fitter ( plumber) so if any problems occur your insurance will pay out on fire or other faults.

Placing the propane bottle line directly to the dryer without a regulator and inside a building is dangerous and unlawful, as most dryers are not vented correctly to deal with propane.

LED Display

You can find the display PCB assembly at any LG authorized parts distributor and it is part number EBR36858901. It can be replaced easily by removing the top panel and the console. Unplug the dryer before servicing.

Remove the screws securing the top panel to the rear of the washer and slide the panel to the rear of the dryer. Lift the panel off and remove it from the dryer.

Remove the screws mounting the console to the dryer cabinet and disconnect the wires from the console.

Pull the console upward and then forward to remove it from the dryer. Remove the screws securing the display PCB assembly to the console; mount the new one and secure it into position.

Reinstall the console to the cabinet in reverse of the removal steps and connect the wire harnesses. Slide the top panel back into position and secure it to the rear of the washer.

My dryer is making a beeping noise while running.

This happens on these if there is enough lent in the vent line as well. The excess buildup of the lint will decrease the airflow and cause the sensor to trip a trouble code. Try cleaning out your line and see if that doesn't help. Good luck.

DRYER NOT GETTING HOT

The heating element have got old and brittle over time and finally gave up the ghost. But it is not always the element. It could be one of the safety Hi-limits have blown. All parts of the dryer will have continuity if its working properly. Test for continuity by using a meter set on Ohms,or use a poor man's meter. You can make your own poor man's meter by using an ordinary flashlight . Break the circuit in the flashlight and add a couple of wires to it so that you can make the light come on in the flashlight, that's right hot wire that flashlight. When the bulb lights up you have a circuit! You now have a poor man's meter. The next step is to check each little gizmo on the dryer that the wires attach to. All the limits attached to the side of the heat element, the door switch (when door is closed) etc.should have continuity (closed circuit)(the light should come on in the poor man's meter) If you come across an thing near the blower housing with 2 wires attached to it, that is a thermal limit, a safety or a control thermostat (So as not to get a false circuit you need to remove one of the wires to each thing you check) Look for lint buildup or blocked vent going out the house. If everything is good and you have paid the electric bill, then the timer could be bad.

New dryer keep blowing 30 amp fuses

your problem (especially if you are using screw-in "plug fuses") i.e. BUSS fuses and cartridge fuses they get hot and with time the insulating disc that insulates hot from neutral (grnd) breaks down and with dryer current draw it arcs over and in summer its more humid which contributes to moisture, have a new sub(pony) panel if you have no room for another 240volt circuit in your main panel, that should cure your trouble

The following link explains how to properly wire a three or four prong 220VAC appliance:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r793520-3_prong_4_prong_power_cord_conversion

Read through the link provided, and make sure you have the power cord wired correctly at the terminal block in the back of the dryer. NOTE: If this is a new installation, you are required to be using a four-prong outlet with 4-prong power cord. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps solve your problem.
