Go visit the local appliance repair store... a small Mom and Pop's store are usually great to help you.. explain what's happening and they should be able to sell you a sensor kit, I have replaced mine twice in 16 years... no biggie if you are semi electrical and mechanically inclined...

Shows hE code, does not cool down
possible Heater Relay failure
Heater relay stuck open or closed; Wiring defective
Check for short circuit across heater relay(s) (RL5, RL6, RL7) or L1 applied to heater relay output(s) (J5-2, J7-1, J7-3) with cycle stopped. Check for open circuit between L1 and heater relay connection(s) (J5-1, J5-3, J7-2). If no wiring problems are found, replace Electronic Control Board and retest.
Door is ajar message when shut light comes on but doesnt run
That's because the door switch isn't getting pushed when you're closing the dryer door for some reason or another. Its located at the top of the door. Try pushing the switch by hand and seeing if the light shuts off when you manually push it.
Dv337 not drying
check for full power from the outlet a full 240 not 120, check the heating element, the hi-lo and cycling thermostat
What is the "thump" I hear when the drum turns?
If it only happens when it turns on and it's a samsung dryer, there are a few problems you may have, depending if it's on a pedestal making noise or not, it could not be level causing an uneven position of the unit to make odd noises, or if it does it with or without clothes on it, it could be the idler pully misaligned or the motor not secure enough. If it happens only for a very very short period of time after you start the load, it isn't anything serious to worry about, however, you may end up having to replace the belt down the line. If it runs quiet, I honestly wouldn't worry about it. If its making a really really loud noise during the cycle continuously, you're having a bearing problem, but I think you're just experiencing a very small wear and tear noise and a lot of dryers can do this. Pinpointing it may just not be worth your time.
Is this a good dryer?
I bought this dryer from Lowe's May '08. No problems until today. Made a loud squeeking noise at first, now more of a ball bearing-grinding noise. Service man coming out tomorrow morning. Out of warranty, of course, paid $900.00 and not even 2 years old.
Samsung dryer will not heat
Sounds like the heating element might be bad. Make sure your settings are set correctly (which I'm sure you have already done). Check to make sure the power cord has been hooked up correctly on the back of the dryer (may want to get someone with an electrical background). Unplug first. Could be a thermostat problem as the elements on some models heat up when needed to maintain a certain temperature. Hope this helps. Good luck.
