I have a Kenmore 500

the door switch is broke.when you push on the paddle of the door switch the lite should go out,if you don't see the paddle it most likely broke off,you need to send the full model number next time,it will start with 110.or similar.the door switch is a safety so the machine won't run until the door is closed,if the switch is broke no power will go to start the dryer

Kenmore 500, blows the breaker everytime i turn it

It could be differnt reasons, check to see if it drains, if not, then something can be in the pump, if not then timer or motor shorting or it can even be transmission siezed.

Dryer has power but will not start

Assuming this is a full size 240v dryer (you never said what it is) you should have 240 volts across the two angled prongs in your receptacle (L1 and L2). 120v across either ONE angled prong to the "L" shaped prong (neutral).
If it a 120v dryer your voltages are alright.
It sounds like the door switch is open.

How do you change the door switch kenmore 500 series dryer

Two metal clips hold the lid down, if the lint trap is on top there will be two screws under it.  Pop the clips with a long skinny flathead, lift the lid up and the door switch should be on top.

The dryer will not heat up

If your dryer doesn't heat, check these:

Power from the house
Heating element
Thermal fuse
Wiring
Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

Heating element Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

Trying to find out how much part #7 on the exploded view of the Kenmore elite electric dryer model 110.2808 is? It is a motor.

110.2808 is an incomplete model number. Motors are typically $140 to $180 USD https://www.easyapplianceparts.ca/PartInfo.aspx?inventory=334304&SourceCode=18 This is is a typical Kenmore model designation and is probably the matching washer to your dryer. Yours is missing 4 numbers. Label in the back, label on the door frame, mentioned on the manual.
