How to replace belt in 700 series
first step unplug the dryer.then pop the top of the dryer open by pulling it towards you and up,sometimes you have to pry it open with a flathead screw driver then remove the front of the dryer by removing the two quarter inch screws on the inside top of the front. then unplug the door switch it will be two wires attached to it.then pick up on the fron and remove.next remove the drumand place the new belt around the drum and install.then you will have to put the belt rubber side inwards on the motor pulley and the outside(non rubber)part of the belt needs to ride on the tensioner pully (little plastic wheel)spin drum clockwise to make sure tou have it alighned properly if it pops off try again untill you get it rite. Then reassemble and test.
Replace dryer cord
There should be a cover where the cable goes into. Look at your old dryer - notice where the red, black, white and green cables go to - they should be marked. Compare those to your new dryer. With the power cord unplugged from the wall, remove the cord from the old dryer and install on the new one. The cord should have terminals already installed - you will need a socket to remove the nut holdng the terminals down.
If the power cord is really old and the insulation cracks when you bend the cord, replace the cord.
Can't get the clips off the bottom of dryer even with putty knife
Why would you want too ? Did you break em? Just prise them off there if that is the case. They slide and lock into position and are not needed to be removed at any time unless they were broken because you forgot to lift the front before removing it. Cannot make that model number work.Their are basically 2 styles of this washer Filter on top or filter inside. Which is yours and what is wrong with the dryer ? Does not start
What is the complete model number of your unit?Does it run if you hold the start switch in?
Dryer heats up and blows air but doesnt dry
If all the heating components of your dryer are working properly, which they are if you are getting any heat at all, then the only thing it can be is a restriction in the venting. I know you said that you have good airflow to the roof but honestly there is absolutely no other cause for this type of problem on an electric dryer
Felt came off off the drum
TAKE THE FRONT OF THE MACXHINE APART AND ITS EASY TO PUT BACK ON. IF ITS DAMAGED MOST APPLIANCE STORES CAN ORDER YOU ONE
Dryer
think two issues?1: Is the timer manual ? does it whirrr? If electronic ugh!2: there is a thermal sensor usually screwed into the side of drum with a couple of screws. Unplug it's spade connr ,unscrew it and change it.UNPLUG the dryer first! If the dryer is all electronic then it is likely where the problem lies... it is probably cheaper to buy a new dryer as the replacement modules and labour are prohibitively expensive.

How do you replace thermal fuse
You will have to remove the back panel to access this part. Be sure that you unplug the machine before starting. Once the back panel has been taken off and placed aside the thermal switch will be located on the left lower side near the blower housing . It will be thin and long and located near the cycling thermostat that has for prongs on it. On certain machines, the thermal fuse is located in the front. To access this you must remove the kickplate, which can be done by pushing the clips, one on each side jsut above the top of the kickplate, in between the top and abottom portion. The part numbers are the same for either style dryer. To test this part you can either take the wires off it and tie them together then plug the machine back in and see if it heats, or you can use amultimeter and check to see if there is continuity, if there is its good, if not, bad. The thermal fuse will usually be white, and if located in the back, be thin and long with two wires on it, left and right. If in the bottom front, it will be front center on the exhaust duct If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

Why does my kenmore 700 dryer smell gas
check the gas valve for leaking seals in the body of the valve,if o.k , then check the manifold tube at the opening just above the gas valve for correct air throttle opening,if not enough air mixture the gas wont burn completely and you will have a smell of gas too
