Toshiba Regza 46RV525U 46 in. LCD HDTV Questions & Answers
Vertical line on my 46" toshiba lcd tv
The only logical solution for the problems people are having for the toshiba regza's tv's is to get into a class action law suite..., they contiue to sell tv's with defective parts and refuse to help the customer that spent large cash to find out they last if your lucky 2.5 years, they are junk and anyone with one will soon find out./.......
Absolutely no power on my Toshiba flatscreen lcd
If the HDMI cable was the only connection, then the high voltage pulse would have had to go through one or more of the video wires in the cable, through the video board, and back out the HDMI cable shielding. What troubles me is you should see the unit come up to standby and refuse to power on. That suggests there was something else connected besides the HDMI cable or the base made a decent ground. At least the panel is worth $150 or so (it is highly unlikely it was damaged).
The inner screen is broken
I believe your TV is still under warranty, I would strongly suggest to contact your TV manufacturer so that they will be the one to fix it for free and they also do replacement for a defective unit.
My Toshiba regza 46" doesn't
Hi,
Here are some basic steps that will help you fixing the problem.
I'm assuming that your unit is dead set without an standby LED light and your outlet is live.1.Power cord -check the cord it might be opened (no continuity). This is due to frequent bending,pulling.2. Power switch- check for dry joints, open contact.3.Check the internal fuse- sometimes the fuse fail because of thepower surge, replacing with new one will cure the problem, If this is the case I would advice you to use surge protector/AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). However if the fuse blew again this is an indication that you have ashorted partsin the power supply, you may visit the linkhttp://www.fixya.com/support/r8053361-fuse_keeps_blowingfor more info. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.
4.If you see that the fuse isintact, don't attempt to touch anything because there somefatalcomponents stored electricity enough to hurt you with a simple mistake only. I would advice you to look fora professionalto troubleshoot the power supply. If you want to repair it yourself make sure that you have necessarytools and test instrument. First checkbadsolder joints(re-solder all cold solder),leaky electrolytic capacitor(sometimes it hasbulgedat the top but not all, you better have a capacitor checker), open/shortedregulatortransistor/IC(mounted in heat sink),open fusible resistor(caused by shorted regulator Transistor/IC), shortedzener diode.
You may also replace the power supply board, try online like ebay.com and shojimmy.com.
Also check if your unit is under warranty before opening the back panel, it will void the warranty. Avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or a little charge only.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using fixya.

Toshiba HL 52167 HDTV has
It appears to be a bad panel. The cost of a new panel exceeds the cost
of a replacement TV with the same specifications. If you have a
warranty, use it before it expires. If it is out of warranty, I
recommend that you complain to Toshiba that this is a common problem and
ask for factory warranty consideration. Good luck.
Toshiba 46RV525U are JUNK!
The LCD panel is defective. They are expensive. Call customer service and they may extend the warranty for you if you complain enough.
Can I use wireless headphones with the 42HL67US
Good wireless headphones have "line in" cable with 2 RCA plugs, which must be attached to TV's "audio out connectors. If you have only "optical" or "coaxial" audio stream out, you must upgrade your "wireless" gear to accommodate those signals. Forget about "headphone" jack! It's a blast of the past! Thanks,Alex.
