Proscan TV HDMI no signal
I presume the non HDMI inputs including component work---what are you feeding to the two inputs in question?Game unit?Output from a Computer?Output from a HD cable box?First thing I would do is go into menu and make sure those inputs are not "grayed out" means locked out.Second thing I would do is if from only one kind of unit you are trying each input (understand I have seen this before) to disconnect power from set and from whatever is providing the signal.Sometimes a glitch can occur and if someone tries to connect things with either or both units powered this can be the result--HDMI in some cases does not like that--and a set can sometimes detect nothing is connected and lock that input out if you do it with the units powered up.The remaining possible answers are:A bad board which has the HDMI connections on it (unlikely but possible)The set (if it has it) needs a hard reset done to restore to factory settings. The set may also have a software/firmware update available for this.If its Proscan (Thompson--RCA/GE/PROSCAN) INFO or help from them is going to be nearly impossible to obtain.SD TECH

Hello, There are two options for connecting the VCR, one of which must be connected to the VCR with a standard coaxial cable into the TV RF connection. The second is the direct connection as you have connected the DVD. The question is whether the connection is currently available and what kind of connection there?
Sound comes in static-y and muffled
What is your input source? Antenna, Cable Box, or DVD?
Try other sources to see if they all do that. Usually a bad connection or cable is usually the problem but you'll need to eliminate the obvious first.
Screen replacement
Replacement screens can be ordered however they can cost as much as a new TV set.
