What resolution is the AOC monitor capable of using?
What is default resolution of the device you are connecting?
If the default is 1080P and the monitor is not 1080P capable then that would be your problem. You could attach to another monitor or HDTV and possibly turn down the resolution then try again.

The screen flickers when I am playing games
If it's a few years old the power inverter could be going, otherwise it likes to run at the "native resolution" all monitiors have a "naitive resolution" i just means the resolution that the manufacturer recomends. It should be in your booklet, also diagnosing games is tough because they are graphic intense. There is a site called "can I run it" that will tell you if your machine can run specific tests. I play Call of duty modern warfare, And with dual SLI video cards I just about run it, with a dual core and 2 gigs of ram. This is subjective at best. also the refresh rate on your monitor plays a big role in these games, anything slower than 5ms is too slow for most new games. Mine are 1 and 2 MS. check the box ou the game it will tell you the minimums
AOC monitor black screen how do I fix it?
I have a couple AOC i2353ph monitors. One day, one of them booted up with a single vertical white line moving slowly back and forth across the screen that kind of looked like a scan or radar. Once I reset the monitor from the OSD it went way. Use "Extra > Reset" from the monitor menu.
