Viewsonic - VA2226w - dual
Swap this monitor with the main one.
If it works, you may simply not have the secondary output enabled in the operating system.
In Windows for example, in the video properties, there's a place where you choose which video card you're dealing with (and/or which output or monitor) and there's a checkbox that says "extend my desktop to this monitor"
If that's not enabled, monitor 2 will be blank !
If the monitor doesn't work in the same connector that the working monitor is in, you may have bad capacitors in this one.
Watch the video below on how to fix that issue.

hi rafi,
check if problem occurs with another computer, hook up another monitor to your computer to check if your graphic card is making trouble.
if it the monitor, and it still is under warranty and you did not damage it, just return to place of purchase and let the paid pros work their magic1
Good luck

Monitor flickers or 1/3 turns black, have tried
You may have a faulty inverter or loose power inverter connection. OR
You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

I had to reinstall my Viewsonic monitor after
It seems like the display resolution was not set to the optimal resolution for your monitor.
To correct this, follow this guide. I am assuming you have Windows XP.
1) Navigate to the Control Panel in Microsoft Windows by left-clicking on Start, followed by Settings and then choosing Control Panel.
2) In the Control Panel window, open Display.
Note: In Microsoft Windows XP, depending on how your operating system is setup, you may not see the Display icon. To correct this, click on the link on the left-hand side of the Control Panel window that says Switch to Classic View.
3) In the Display Properties window, click on the Settings tab.
4) Slide the Screen resolution slider all the way to the right for your optimal resolution.
5) Click the OK or Apply button to confirm the changes. If prompted, follow any additional on screen directions.
NOTE: If the text appears too small, go back to step 4 and try a different position on the slider until you get it how you like it.
Good luck on solving your computer problem.

Viewsonic VX2835wm monitor that powers up with a good screen for a couple of seconds and then goes blank. I replaced the power board and it still does the same thing. Could it be the on/off switch?
FIRST WE DO NORMAL AND LATER TRUE CAUSE.
gee that is normal on all monitors and by Energy Star laws too.
the monitor if the PC is dead or in speed mode, shuts of in 15 to 90 seconds, all do, every one. the monitor has self sleep, all do. everyone ever made did. even back to CRT days.
and the OSD button goes dead after. that. too. fooling the untrained.
here is the first tests, NO PC connected at all
power on see power light glow correct color
then see Viewsonic splash screen push the menu button now. quickly, if button dead hold it for 10 to 15 second to reverse the button lock now, see OSD works.
if you test the monitor on a good PC not in sleep mode the but working PC, your monitor is ok.
this monitor is very very old, 2004?
it has CCFL back lamps not LED<
and all fully used CCFL lamps are now no good, used 8yrs a day at 5years are no good. that is why we use LED back lamps now.
this is what they do: all do , used fully.
1: goEs dead forever, (vast did)
2: INTERMITTANT . (BINGO YOU ) OR INVERTER DEAD.
3: DIM BULBS (like me. lol)
4 TURN YELLOW FOR WHITE screens.
5: STROBEs. (FLASHes)
AND A VERY EXPENSIVE SURE, THAT. AND LABOR.

Viewsonic VX2880ML 4K monitor, front vontrols won't work, help.
power on and power on led glows normal , not yellow or flash.
then this happens splash. attached, 2014 made.
then that tells you screen is NOT DEAD is it? now? here?
(PC is dead or missing)
- NO connections on 1 or more inputs.
- NO sync
- no signal
- OUT OF RANGE
and goes black screen NEXT,. if all that fails power supply is bad.
if all that works the menu button works for 15 seconds turned on with no PC, and also works on all PCs if connected to one that are all good and not sleeping. test the monitor on 2 PCs if confused.
