3600 btu mitsubishi split ac

Good day,

I would like to have a model no. Things to look at. Is the filters clean? If yes then we carry on to the next step. Check power stability but that should not be the problem. Your next step is to find out what gas it's using. If using R410, then make sure there was no leak. If there is a leak you have to drop all the gas and weigh in new gas. On your system should be information on how much gas it takes as n standard. Every unit new come pre charged with gas for 10 meters. If your pipework is longer than 10 meters then additional gas should be added. If not it can take the amount that is shown on the info sticker.
You have to vacuum and put new gas. But you have to put it in as n liquid. If u canot do this yourself please call a qualified HVAC tech.

Thanks

If you run a short lineset about 10 feet do you

No, a condensing unit has enough refrigerant to go about 35 ft or less, so less is noyt going to be a problem unless you added more than 35 feet and added more refrigerant even then 10 feet will not be much and not enough to adversely affect the operation

I have a split unit

If your unit is only 8 months old, then it should still be under warranty! Suggest you check the drain line to make sure that nothing has decided to make it home.

I would check the level of your unit to make sure that there is a slight grade to the rear of the unit, but I hesitate to tell you to shim it.

When turn on the power main switch after i have

Dint spray WD 40 for maintenance on the fins?? that does nothing good and apparently is dong something bad actually.

WD 40 means ,,,,, Water Displacer and it was their 40th recipe!!

Its great for removing roof sealants from your hands, or tar, oil etc, but a terrible lubricant
and the motors today require no oiling, so cut the WD 40 routine its not doing anything you want and is dong everything you dont want.

Compressor starts then stops after maybe 3 mins

Any error codes? If not there may be a mechanical fault with the compressor/inverter. The unit is possibly short on refrigerant, so the compressor is not getting enough suction cooling from return gas, so may be clicking off on its internal over temp klixon.

all the best

The main fan on indoor unit gets clogged with dirt.

Sometimes the best way is to try and vaccum off as much as you can and then blow off the rest. Unfortunatly there isn't an easier way. You try and modify something that you can attach to the vaccum that can get into tight spaces. You might try some small tubing taped onto the end of the vaccum.

Hi my name is adriana and I was wondering if you

Have you tried calling the manufacturer at 800-332-2119 to get a new remote yet? If they don't have one, then a supplier should and I can get a number or website for you but Mitsubishi should have one.
