How to replace the ptt button on a motorola rdu4100
If you are referring to the external button on the radio, the entire front housing assembly must be replaced. If you are speaking of the internal PTT button on the component board you may want to send the radio for repair (approx. $79). Or if you are equipped with a soldering station, you can replace this component yourself by removing the defective part and soldering on the new switch.

Hi Eric,Does the unit have knobs on the top of the unit, or just buttons in the front panel beneath the screen?If the former is the case, one of them will have numbers on it, this is the channel selector.If the latter is the case, then you should see two buttons with up and down arrows on them, one is Volume, the other is Channel selector.I hope this is useful to you.Cheers,Peter

- You will have to contact an authorized Motorola dealer such as http://www.buytwowayradios.com/products/motorola/motorola-ax-axu4100.aspx or any reputable two way radio store in your area. Those radios are still very programmable. I wish there was some way around this but there is not and Motorola gets very grumpy when unauthorized people end up with their interface because it is in fact quite the money making racket.

Hi
Motorola CP-200 have frequency range
VHF: 136–162, 146–174MHz;
UHF: 403–440, 438–470, 465–495MHz depending on the model
Motorola AXU4100 have frequency range 435 - 480 Mhz
The first model has a wider frequency range so it is best to include transmitter Motorola Axu4100 to transfer and try to receive signal to Motorola CP-200
I have a motorola AXU4100 radio. Every time I use
It is likely your battery pack is not fully charged or it is in need of a new battery. It takes more energy to transmit than to receive. Pressing the PTT uses quite a bit of power and will easily shut down a radio needing a battery (or charge). If you feel you battery is still good (less than 2 years old), you might check your charger to see if it is functioning correctly.
Best regards.
