Hello
There is a high tension arcing takes place inside your tv. It may be related to Line Output Transformer [LOT], and neighbouring parts. You can locate this by placing the tv in an absolute dark room, switch it on, and notice its inside through the back ventillations. you may see bluish arcing takes place, and an ozone smell will come too. Never switch on the tv till this fult is retified. Some other parts alo may get damaged.
Contact a sevice personal and get it repaired as soon as possible.

It is due to the higher video level from your set top box. It may have a higher video level than the tv can accept. Try to reduce the level by capacitor resistor[R-C] network in series with video input cable.

You have lost the detachable power cord!
Just take a photo of the power socket on the TV side where the cord gets fixed.

Show the photo taken, to any computer or electrical shop. They will help you. These are all standardized fitments and mostly compatible.

Or contact SANSUI service center.

for some reason your television is setting itself to an improper resolution the most common fix for this is to go into your screen setting your looking for picture format or resolution menu after finding that scroll through the options to find which suites you best after attempting this if the picture is still chopped off you will need to find your screen calibration and adjust those as nescecary

I'm guessing a power surge from the returning power burned something up. You should have all your electronics plugged into surge protectors at a minimum. The best protection is a UPS (uninterruptable power supply).
