If you have recently purchased this TV or it is still under warranty, you will need an Authorized Service Center (Philips) to correct this problem. Chances are good the main digital board will need reworked. In some cases there were two surface mount capacitors that will need removed. Some of later models did not have these capacitor and needed other work for repair. It really matters, if this is an early model or the later model . This is the first reason to seek an ASC. My tv wont turn on green light flashes and just

Most likely, you are having power supply problems. Your tv has a specific board in it that controls the distribution of power to the tv's components. If it fails, no tv. Sometimes this happens after a power surge. Many newer lcd tvs contain power supply boards that have been manufatured with sub par capacitors on them. They were undetectable when the tvs were tested, because they work fine for a while and then deteriorate quickly. Sometimes in less than a year. Its a very common problem.

There are a few ways to fix it. That is, of coarse, if this is your problem.

1. Have it fixed by a professional.

Remember, TVs CONTAIN HIGH VOLTAGE. Do this at your own risk.

2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board can cost in the hundreds. They can be found online. I would definitely shop around though.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. You can find TV repair kits online to repair this problem but it takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds. I replaced the caps on the PSB in my Phillips TV and it worked. Here is the tip. Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm sure that this isn't your board but it will give you an idea of what the process is like. Hope this helps. Good luck and thanks for using fixya

My LCD TV will not

Hello

Your TV has trouble in its power regulator board itsef. Main power is coming inside it is true. But there are eight of so sub power supply voltages goes to the different boards inside your TV and if one amoung them gets missed the system IC will detect it and will turn it to standby. There is a 5VDC voltage emerging from the power regulator board, and it is OK now, as you see the power LED and standby lLED glows. There is definitly have any break in any of the power supply rails inside your Tv. Just open it if you are confident and have some knowledge in elelctronics. Without these, never play with LCD tv, as it may cause a great loos to you.
Open your Tv and look for any break inside its power board or andy loose contacted wire connections inside it. Be causious; never go to its system control side, when power is ON. The components in that side as well as LCD screen are very sensitiove static, and can be damaged easly. Do all the checks when power is OFF, and TV is disconnected from mains supply. In most of the LCD TVs, repair in power board is very difficult to do, and must be replaced as card basis, because, most of the components in it are SMD types [Surface Mount Types], and need special equipments, which are costly, to replace and repair it.
If you have a good quality digital multimeter, you can do get to the fault by measuring the voltages at the powerboard You must also have the effeciency to follow the schematic diagram, and identify components. If you have confidence and more patience, go forward; otherwise let an experienced technician, who has most modern testing equipments to do the job. I don't know about what you are going to decide. Anyway if you wants anymore assistance, feel free to get me through Fixya. OK.

Turned it off and now

does it displays any other signs? weird sounds, blinking lights? If not then the power source of the tv has just died and there is nothing that can be done to save it.
This is a very big failure - a power source very rarely dies on its own. The tv will have to be tested and the cause of the failure identified. It's a complicated job that requires electronics experience so it's better to leave that to a pro In the mean time unplug the tv from the wall to limit the extension of the damage to the rest of the components.

Hook up play station 3

Assuming you are using HDMI, connect the PS3 via HDMI cable to the tv, then power up the PS3 by pressing and holding the power button till you hear the initial power up beep, followed by another beep. The resolution settings wil be reset and the Initial Setup screen will show up. From then on, just follow the on-screen instructions. Resolution mismatch when i hook

hook the appropriate inputs (red white and yellow) on the side of the video input on the emerson tv. Power up tv and be sure it is on the video input screen. Be sure your PS3 is plugged in as necessary, PS3 is in the off position. Turn PS3 on and hold the power button on for 7 seconds until you hear the PS3 beep at you twice (wait for 2nd beep) at that point the PS3 should boot up on your tv monitor - you are resetting the resolution by holding the button down

Power button has to be pushed 5 or 6 time before

Hello; I don't know if you are using the power button on the remote or the TV. If it's the remote button you are using, try the one on the set. If the set button turns it on 1st try, you have a bad remote. These buttons do wear out. If the set takes 5 to 6 tries on either, you likely have a bad main board in the set. John
