If the set is running in some type of component mode or digital component mode, there is no adjustment for color or tint.

Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This must make the TV to a hard reset. If no other problems to the set's internal circuit boards, it should work properly. If it does not help you, make sure that the main board to this TV is faulty. Adjust the contrast, color, and brightness settings. Make sure the video cables are securely connected. Make sure the correct video mode is selected.

Make sure the incoming signal is compatible. Make sure the antenna is connected correctly.

Check the closed caption settings. Some text modes can block the screen.

Increase the volume. Make sure that the sound is not muted. Make sure that the correct audio mode is selected. You can also try to power cycle the TV by turning the TV off and unplugging it for a minute, then plug it back in and restore system settings back to default. If the problem still persists, I would recommend bringing it back to the store to pursue repairs.

How is your TV setup--do you have a cable box, satellite, or basic cable? I would recommend going into the settings and running a channel search.

Press Menu. The on-screen display menu options with Setup highlighted.
Press RIGHT arrow to enter the sub-menu, then press DOWN or UP to highlight AUTO CH SEARCH.
Press ENTER or RIGHT arrow to start the search.

check the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the mainboard may have a loose connection

Test: You might see a pic by shining a bright light against the screen. (Halogen can burn a spot if too close for too long like 15 seconds). If so, you probably have an inverter, backlight tube or coil/driver board problem. Some of thse units have a bad ground on the tube driver coil board which can be shimmed and/or tightened. Sometimes a simple car light tester (continuity tester with a 12v bulb) from casing/mount ground to any of the - side of the backlight driver coils will light the screen and reveal which tube is non functional. I leave one dome light running in such ground position one of my TVs at all times for regulation and night dimming.

Most of the time its not your TV its the TV stations signal. Unless you live like in a nursing home were there are a gang of cable boxes and there is an adjustment on the box it self. We have them in our faucilty.
