Dynex DX-LCD19-09 19 in. LCD TV - Page 7 Questions & Answers
How do i get my Dynex TV to work on an antenna
Easy. First put up a good outside or wall antenna. Then run a coax cable (not flat lead wire) from the antenna to the tv. To do this you need to get a "balum" to go from the antenna to the coax wire. It's a small plastic 'transformer' (( about the size of your pinky finger)). The other end of the coax wire should have an 'F' connector put on it so it can screw into the F connection on the back of the tv set. Then get your remote and go to the input of your tv and change it to antenna input. Then do a channel scan. Let it finish scanning and it will let you know how many channels it picked up. If you're in a big city then you may pick up as many as 100 or more channels. If you're in the country, you may only pick up about 5 channels! If you need more channels then go back to Home Depot or Lowes and get an 'antenna amplifier'. Hopefully one that has about 25db gain. Most only have about 10db gain but the higher the number the better. It should be put inline between the tv and the antenna so you'll need another coax cable for the amplifier to the tv. The wire that comes from the antenna goes directly to the 'input' of the amplifier. Then from the 'output' of it to the tv. You'll love it once it's done and it's cheaper than cable or any other paid service!

• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

Where is the rest button on my dynex flat screen TV located
There is no such external buttons for reset, with modern TVs. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. I have a 40 inch Dynex led,i have to keep pressing on button for about 3 minutes before it will come on,it is the same if I use the remote or the button on the TV,What could the problem be ?
Having worked on monitors\TVs for several years, it sounds like you have some capacitors going bad, thus the reason it takes so long for it to come on. The caps MUST have time to charge up, and, since they are most likely burning out, they will need to be replaced asap. If you don't have a repair store in your town\city it may be necessary to replace it.
Though this is most common, I cannot give a 100% answer because there are so many other things that can go wrong.
Some of these TVs have an external power brick( looks like a laptop power brick) which can also have the very same issue but, replacing is a lot cheaper than rebuilding a power brick.
Hope this helps.
