If a 19 inch it may not be worth fixing but should be replaced--answer is if a dark picture--display is driven by a inverter of some type---it may be cause,the light source is usually a back light of some type==it may be the cause.. In any case the cost of having a set this size repaired just makes no sense.

The back where The plugs go in is proble over used
