Hello,The issue you describe is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge. The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board. You might be lucky it's just a blow fuse. Also a defective transformer can cause your TV not to power on.All these can be checked on the power supply board. But more often bad capacitors causes problem on the power supply board. I do not think the power board needs replacement, rather those defective capacitors is causing this issue. Open unit up and take a look at the power supply board. You will probably see one or more electrolytic filter capacitors that are bulged up in the top-not perfectly flat like the others. The value of these capacitors will be different, most likely they will be somewhere around-820 to 2200uF/25 V( or /10V sometimes)You can replace them with same values but I would recommend the voltage rating to be higher(like 35V for an original 25V) for reliability purposes. What happens is,these bulged top capacitors will cause a low and unfiltered DC voltage=main board will malfunction(the relay will keep clicking until the caps are holding enough charge to bring the voltage up over a threshold point). You can buy these capacitors at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors). After replacing these capacitor(capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored. Or you can by a refurbished complete power board to save you some stress from www.shopjimmy.comNote: There may be also some other causes for this symptom ,like a defective T con board ,or main board, but the bulged top capacitors are the most common cause for this issue. If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you. Also, note that TV stores a lot of current, so wait a while before opening the TV back cover.I hope this helps.Regards.
If you see a no signal message, then it means that the signal output format of the PS3 does not match . It happens if you have previous used it on another tv and now connected it to a different tv. To resolve this, turn off the PS3 . Press and hold the power button on the PS3 till you hear three BEEPS. The PS3 should automatically detect the tv's resolution and the initial setup screen should appear. After that you should just follow on-screen instructions to set it up.
The fuse should be located on the power supply board. You'll have to remove the back cover to access it. I posted a link of what the board should look like.
There is no "fix" for defective jacks for the average consumer like that. I suggest using the COMPONENT inputs instead. Sorry, that means another new set of wires. Component input will still be HD, it's just a lot more wires than the simple "one wire" HDMI. At least you don't have to trash (or get repairs) to your TV and it will hold you over until you do. Take care!
Yes, you should replaced the Y scan board. I saw your board on Shopjimmy.com but before you ordered it online, check the part no. of your board on the white sticker. Replaced also all filter electrolytic capacitors in the output of the power supply feeding the Y-sustain board.
Watch the video below for more info regarding electrolytic capacitor.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
Sir it has different types of rating it is commonly printed in the main board or printed exactly at the fuse. The parts try to check this link http://www.shopjimmy.com/sanyo good day and best regards.
I dont believe there are any reset buttons . but the easiest thing to do is unplug the tv from the wall and any other device. for about a half hour this will reset the tv. if you plug it in and it still does it then it needs repair.
the bulb in the tv might of went out and certain plasma tvs have to have new plasma put into them to work again it can be very costly try contacting the company you got the tv from or the manufacture they maybe able to tell you what you can do step by step. or if theres a warenty still on you new tv you can exchange for a new one or at least get your money back being that its haveing issues i hope this helps
No, I'm sorry, but the technology to fix the actual lcd SCREEN is not out there yet. The reason you don't see it when it is off is because it is actually the inside of the screen that break, unlike plasma tv's, when they break there will be actual glass fragments. If the broken area is to big to deal with, then the options are; buying and installing a new screen (alway about the same price off the tv new, or more), you could sell the insides of the tv on Ebay for example, they are very much needed parts (powerboard etc)....Those are about the only options, unfortunatly...If selling the powerboard, you shopuld be able to get around$100 for it...
Once again, I'm sorry I didn't have good news, but please rate if it was usefull, thank you!
Hi, i dont think so at all.. you can use the remote and reset the color settings..TV has been tampered...If your TV has a reset mode , you could do e reset and see if the color will be back to normal
U probably have a depresed buton on the control panel of ur tv. U can open it and pop it back into position. If the problem persists, call a technician to look at the control panel, it wil be faulty and need to replace a few components. Good luck.
Somewhat easy fix
1 Unplug your tv from the wall
2 Let it rest for 10-20 min
3 Plug it back in and try again
4 If this doesn't work, I'm sorry snd you might have to get it sent in for repair or replacement
Thank you for your time, Good luck and I hope this helps
Tv now turn on have no power to the tv at all or the tv power LED light on the tv just blinks.Tries tv unplug, replug the tv back like about an hour, that the resetting tv back to the factory setting. The tv should working again now.If not the tv power supply board it is dead that the board where the power a/c cord plug into it,tv must be repair by replacing components parts or the tv whole power supply board. The tv shop should cost u like about half of the price of a new tv.
