My Emerson TV will not
my flat screen emerson television is in standby mode but the power light is not on what could it be

Cant get it to show a picture
Could be how you have it connected and what input you have your TV on. Also, if this is a TV that is an extra DirecTv might not allow it viewable. Ok, I have a three TV setup with Dish - One controller box per TV - If this is similar, then this extra TV may not work with out some kind of work around. My living room TV is set for HDMI 1, Xbox is HDMI 2, BlueRay/DVD is HDMI 3 - So make sure your TV's feed from the source is being received.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it.
