how to code my emerson tv to a dish remote control
We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Emerson TV; here some of the codes we currently have: 672, 632, 654, 764, and 537. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.
We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

ps3 hdmi is saying format not supported on my 32" emerson tv. what can i do to fix?
hi
there maybe some problem with ur tvs resolution. ps3 outputs full hd high resolution video(1080p) through its hdmi. may be your tv is not supporting that resolution. connect ps3's component video out to ur tv and then try. if it ask for any resolution selection. select 720p or 1080i, above that resolution ur tv will not support. ur tv is hd ready one, not full hd. ps3 's hdmi out is full hd (1080p).
or try this
connect ur ps3 to any full hd tv and then goto video setup of ur ps3. change resolution to 1080i (down scaling ). then connect to ur tv via hdmi. surly u will get the video.
ok

LC32OEM9 says Not Supported Format on HDMI Input. It worked when we first hooked up the TV. Then it started working sporadically now it very very rarely works and when it does it only works for maybe 15 seconds then cuts back out again. Most of the time we have to watch our tv on the regular cable input where the quality is standard. When the HDMI input was working the picture and sound were great. Now I feel like there's no point to having this tv. Does anyone know why it would say Not Supported Format for HDMI? Is it the HDMI cable? Could it have gone bad already? Could it be something with my Cable (Comcast) DVR box? Or did something happen with the TV? I've checked and rechecked all the cable connections and everything looks tight and in the proper place but maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for any help!
I'm thinking the Comcast DVR box maybe putting out weird HDMI signals and the TV can't translate it. I would call the Comcast people on this one.
In the meantime, I would try finding another source the uses a HDMI cable to rule out the TV as the problem. Basically, testing the TV to see if the problem still happens when you use something else than the Comcast box. Try a Blueray player, Playstation 3, or Xbox. Just something that uses a HDMI cable.

AWA flatscreen TV requiring unknown password
My AWA television did the same to me - I put in '6666' as the password, and that seems to have corrected the problem.

when I try to turn on my tv it goes to standby mode. What can I do to fix this?
Sorry about that. When the tv goes bad like not turning on, the green light will blink, and goes right back to red standby light while the dtv letters will briefly show on the lower right of the tv screen, then go back to blank screen. The tv will need to be taken to an authorized service center for repair. Common causes are a bad inverter/power supply, power control board, or circuit board.

my emerson tv just stop working it won't even turn on.
I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV. Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companies Philips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems. Here are some options for you. 1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is it under warranty?) Remember, TVs CONTAIN HIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk. 2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found online. I would definitely shop around though. 3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill. Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds. This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be. I have a Tip/How TO tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. Here is the Link: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Hope this helps and if it does please rate it accordingly. Good luck.
