Tla-04641c wont power standby light comes on and
Hey listen bulldog, I am just having the same problem! Exact same thing, standy led on, power supply and boards seem like new, but tv doesnt power up! I read a schematic at
http://www.polaroidsupport.com/polaroid/docs/TLA-04011C_TLXB-4011_TLXB-4241_ServiceManual_20070613.pdf and if you follow it through it states, to change the control box!! I have fair confidence that I can replace the control box because I have experience in soldering and have built my own computers before as also swapping major components in laptops as well! So I am willing to take the risk to fix this but heres the problem!! I dont know where or what the control box is or where to go to buy a new one! POLAROID customer service is aweful, unless you know the manufacturing plant and can go there, they wont be much help! I hope this info helps you, if you got the problem fixed can you tell me what you did or where I can look to get my issue resolved! Need anything else just post here!

I need to know if my new Wii system can be set up
Hi
Just try not to leave the game on standby with the same picture on for more than 30 minutes.
As long as there is movement on the screen there won`t be any" burn in".
Hope this help. Merry Christmas

I have a 37in. Polaroid LCD when I turn the TV on
The blue is an indication that there is a loss of video signal. Since the set appears to trecover after a "warm up" period, it suggests that there are either poor connections or defective components inside that are effected by heat. Most components inside are surface mounted and not typical DIY accessable. Your best bet is to see if you can find a pattern to when the set works and when it has trouble. In other words, does the set take longer to start if the room temp is cooler? If the set has been on for a while and you shut it off, can you restart it right away or do you need to go through the "warm up" period again?
The details requested above will help a servicer track down the problem for you.
Hope this helps,
Dan

There is a strip about 4 inches wide going down
This is a down-stream video problem the data address registry circuits need to be serviced. This could happen from physical impact on the top of the tv or a failure in the video path/ streaming data. In some cases the LCD panel needs replacing if the chips on the address circuits cant be removed and replaced. If you have someone who's technically savvy I can show them wht to test inside the tv.
Get back too me when you can....

We are seeing the closed caption box without
Turn the caption off. Go to Menu > Display Settings and then turn the caption OFF.
If the CAPTION is turned OFF but it's automatically showing up on the
screen, then you the TV needs repair. I can't remember the component(s)
that needs to be replaced but it should not costs you too much.
Have a good day!

I have the same TV and I just replaced the Capacitors. It came with 2 10000UF 10V caps and I put in 2 1000UF 35Volt caps from radio shack. Its like brand new. There is even a video on how to change them on You Tube.

I have a
Purple stripe of "LCD panel Death". In most cases when there is a color strip across or down the screen, means the lcd panel it's self is gone down. In this case, cheaper to buy new flat panel tv. In some of thses models you could have a back lite out, not likely, as when the lites oare out you don't have color on that side.

Power supply
If your sure the power supply is the problem, there is really no catch-all instruction to fix it. You'll have to have someone look at it in person.
Factoring in labor, it will likely be cheaper to replace the power supply than to try to fix it.
