First, I doubt that the power supply and MB are "connected", so they likely lied to you. As far as parts go, you can get them on Ebay, probably for around bucks total for the power supply and MB. This is important, Just because the model number on the TV matches the model number on the part, it doesn't mean it is the right one...the manufacturers sometimes use different boards on the same TV's. So make sure you are looking at the numbers on the boards and that they match before you buy it. Honestly though, you never know what you are getting on ebay as far as used boards and power supplies go, by the time you pay for shipping ETC you are going to be probably 150 to 200 bucks into it...and it might not work, or it might work for a while then the used parts go out as well. Best Buy has a 43" sharp LCD TV, smart, built in Roku...for 269. You might be better off to spend the extra 50 to 100 bucks and just buy a new TV, and definitely better off buying a new TV than paying some scam artist 400 bucks to fix a TV. Definitely take the TV for repairs.

they use an inferior brand power board. the power board you will fined it has alot of capacitors that will need replacing. in worst case you will need a replacement power board. if you replace the capacitors use 105c types and not the same brand that are on the board these capacitors are like grade F capacitors, really cheap.

Mine did that and I went and punched menu and reset the TV back to factory settings and it's ok now.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Unfortunately, some of the "Experts" here really aren't. Everyone that answers a couple questions is listed as an "Expert" and it doesn't matter if their answers are worthless! "The Knight" has over 64,000 questions answered, so I question his or her credibility. "The Knight" didn't even bother to warn you that a TV has hazardous voltages even when unplugged. It's usually limited to the power board, but still you should have been warned. Your problem could have been the T Con board, but it also could be your display or another control board if yours has another. There's also a smaller chance that part of the power supply has gone bad. Unfortunately, you'll have to get a TV repair shop to check it.

Most likely the remote. It's one of the most used buttons and the contact wears out. Buy a new remote and it's fixed.

look in menus for sleep timer and make sure it is off.

If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should be troubles hooted. this is what I would try,,, unplug it from the wall socket for a min or so. and sometime u can hold the power button in for 30 seconds while the TV is UNPLUGGED . on some sets that resets the defaults.
