When this happened was the laptop overly hot? If the laptop's head got too high it could have shutdown to protect itself. It wouldn't boot until the heat had disparate. Sit you laptop aside for about 30 minutes and see if it will boot then. You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. Driver problem

Key Pad or Touchpad? Is it that the mouse pointer is frozen and does not work? If so, look at the middle of the touchpad at the top of it and there might be a button there that lets you toggle the touchpad between locked and unlocked. Sometimes there might be a set of keystrokes you will have to hit to lock or unlock the keypad. Most times you will have to Press and Hold the Alt, FN or Ctrl key then hit the key (most times one of the F1 thru F12 keys) that controls the keypad. The key that controls the keypad will have the icon of a finger inside or pointing at a square that represents the keypad. On one laptop recently that I worked on it was toggled by Pressing and Holding the ALT key then hit the F6 key. F6 had a finger pointing at a square area representing the touchpad.

Let's hope that this is not a lamp part going out. Press the FN blue Key and look for an icon Blue at the top of the keyboard that look either like a brightness sunshine picture, make sure to hold the FN key down as you press the sunshine brighter key tap it until the light on the screen gets brighter. welcome to Fixya. Try the Fn+F2 combination. This will turn on/off the wireless network. You should see the wireless connection icon on your system tray. Just double click on it and connect to your specific network.

When you get there then scroll down and select where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the network software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.
