Sounds like a driver issue possibly.
Start in safe mode and once in Windows, go to "Start", then "Control Panel", then "System". Next, click "Device manager". Then, find "Display Adapter". Right click and click "Uninstall". Reboot your PC and see if that helps. Post back if that doesnt help.

you need to make sure that it is not the ac power cord that is responsible for power failure.
Then, go check the power supply section in your monitor, it has bad caps that needs to be replaced.

damage capacitors must be replace with the same rating/value of capacitor.they are rated as uf/volts ex 50uf/25 volts.use a soldering iron and desoldering pump to remove it from the PCB board..

There may be different reasons. Try doing the following:
Change Power Options in Control Panel- Start>Control panel>power options>power schemes>Select NEVER on 'Turn off Monitor'
Check if the power cable is connected in a secured manner
