ASKO 7000 series washer drum

check inside your washer for nails or other objects . I already seen a nail fall down in one of the basket holes and the nail stuck into the outer tub not allowing the basket to spin. If you dont see anything in the basket holes, then it is your bearings. The burning smell is coming from your belt. The motor is spinning but your basket is not. It is cheaper to buy a new washer. In ordered to fix your washer you have to rebuild it. The bearing are built into the outer tub of the washer.

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the bottom of the unit, after this test the door lock-switch assembly. If the door lock-switch is also fine then the control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Manual missing when purchased ,a new washing

You can download this manual here:

http://www.beko.co.uk/manuals/wme8227.pdf

I would also contact the seller and complain that the manual was missing.
Ask them to post you a hardcopy.

Beko washing machine stuck midcylce full of water

Hi ghutton697,

I believe your drain motor is not draining the water. This has to happen before your unit will go to the spin cycle.

Please read the following tip, on how to clean the filter (It might just be an obstruction of some kind)

ACCESSING, DRAINING & CLEANING THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER

If this does not help, you might need to replace the drain pump - as it may have become defective.

Kind Regards

I bought a Bosch washing

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry, this forum is not able to supply any type of manual, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but with such a major fault it is virtually impossible for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer.

It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid as primary suspects. Secondary suspects could be main motor, drain motor.
I fear that you only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

Sorry again and good luck,

Something stuck underneath drum, how do you

Socks and alike stuck in inner drum can be removed easy by taking off the bottom sump hose ,this will let you see where sock is perhaps/failing that you could remove the heater element, giving a bigger picture in within the drum.......Good luck.

Displaying F3, does not

Hi,

You can remove 2 screws under the panel and the screw holding the release cable inside the clean out cover, bottom panel will come off and expose the drain pump, they have 3 clamps but they are one time use only clamps so you will need some clamps if you take off,i would recommend bleeding off the water through the little hose first a lot of water in there, you can remove hoses and there is a good chance a dime will be in that outlet to the drain hose,

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Machine suddenly started making a strange grinding

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description, " strange grinding noise while in the spin cycle. The water drained, but the noise is not normal. Is there an issue with the pump?" it could very well be just a clogged pump insert/filter.

It's not very difficult to check on the 8005 Asko though, you'll first need to remove the panel beneath the door...it should just pull forward and off.

**Unplug the washer before servicing the unit though...safety first** You may also need to have a wet-dry shop vacuum or plenty of towels as there will be quite a bit of water present.

Carefully remove the filter from the pump by turning it ( slowly to allow water out gradual )...the issue with these Asko pump inserts/filters is they can get so clogged up they are stuck and difficult to remove...

i.e.

these can become clogged with items such as coins, hair-pins etc. that can actually damage the part, thus causing a "grinding noise" or the like.

Once the filter is removed check the pump thoroughly as well as the hoses to rule out any other possible blockage.

Unfortunately once they are clogged to an extreme degree removing the filter by normal means becomes difficult or impossible without breaking it as I alluded to.

The image I attached above is an example of a pump I had to remove and disassemble to clean it out so the filter could be removed/unscrewed, hence the need for the "worm-gear" clamps had to be used to replace the original "one-time" clamps.

If you indeed break this part during your attempts to remove it, a replacement is available, Asko original part # 88 010 69 and available at on-line retailer "repairclinic.com" for about $25-$30USD.

Let me know how you make out or if you require further assistance. Ultimately the drain pump itself could be faulty, or it could be the main motor brushes causing the noise...that can be ruled out or confirmed by running a spin cycle with the drain pump disconnected, but I'd certainly check for obstructions first.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)
