was deleting some txt msgs... it deleted all the whole series of text msgs...didn\'t want that. so they should have been in the delete folder...they were not. i was a nervous wreck for i needed them!!! Did a search and found them by searching in messages only. now they are all itemized. resent a few but now they show from me... so then i marked them unread and now it shows there are unread message but no messages to be found....i have had this phone for years and haven\'t had this problem before. Now I\'m afraid to take the battery out for I may lose the rest of the text msg in the search folder that houses the txt msgs. how is this fixed? I want to achieve all the txt msgs in the serach to be moved back to the txt msg inbox as they originally were..all in one series. Also in the search it seems to have all txts msgs that i was searching for...meaning even the sent ones recently sent are there


Usually memories are such that when things are deleted from them they keep a shadow copy of the item which is deleted from the memory. Most mobile devices once the the text message is deleted from the device the device doesnt keep a copy of the message. If you are lucky enough to get the messages itemized in a search and you can resend them to yourself then the best way to get them back will be to send them to yourself.

Hi, the problem you are having is with the phones firmware you will need to take this phone into a phone shop and have the phone flashed and the firmware re-installed, the problem with this is you can only have it done at a phone shop as they need to install all the software back on the phone and the other problem is that this will wipe the phone so you will lose anything on it.

you can back it up if you have the leads to your computer and the correct pc suite for your make of phone if you dont have this just ask the phone shop to back it up for you.

their is no other way of doing this as you cant get the firmware and re-install it yourself the phone shop will charge you for doing this but it will be cheaper if you go to one of those independant shops instead of one of thos bigger branded ones.
