This could be a faulty CCFL lamp.
To determine if you have a LCD screen, inverter or video card problem, read this and follow these instructions.
Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

One thing is for sure... if you didnt some else did.
Not to worry.. try this:

Boot up the notebook and immediately hit the F8 key until you see the menu option to boot in Safe Mode. Choose Safe Mode from the menu.

Once the system finishes You will be given a choice of Yes to enter Safe Mode, and No to enter System Restore Mode Choose YES

Hopefully there will be no password on the Adminstrator account and you will be able to log on as administrator.

Once logged in, go to Control Panel, User Accounts and create a new user account with administrator privlidges.

After creating this account you will be able to boot the normal way and log on to the new account.

It might be worth having a quick look here first:

http://www.laptop-repair.info/toshiba_bios_password.html
Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password KeyDisk will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Keydisk - http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe

** I have downloaded this file myself from the link above and scanned it with microsoft one care, it came up clean **

Some Toshiba's can be convinced to bypass the startup BIOS password if you hold down the <LEFT-SHIFT> key while booting the system.

If you want to play DVDs from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software (Passkey for DVD) that allows you to play DVDs from any region and Passkey for Blu-ray that allows you to play Blu-rays from any region.
There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free

Hello,
Do you have a wifi card in the computer? It is a hardware part that you need so that the computer can connect to the wifi. If you have that but can't find it in the operating system. I suggest that you either install or update the driver for it.
You can use RadarSync to scan your computer for the available updates of your wifi driver. Make sure that you connect to the internet first using your ethernet so that it will detect the available driver updates somewhere in the databases of the manufacturer.
