Ignore the lights. Wash the outer foam filter every two months. As long as air is going through the inner filter does not need to be changed. Blow the inner filter out FROM THE INSIDE with your vacuum cleaner. (blow air the opposite direction of air flow to get the nasty stuff off.)

This indicates that the insulation covering the wire used to make the winding of the motor has been cooked by the overheating and it is shorting out ,THIS WILL CAUSE THE MOTOR CATCH FIRE. When resetting the unit, unit must be powered on then press and hold the appropriate filter indicator button for approximately 10 seconds until the light turns off. I have the same unit. Have you cleaned out the removable filters? also the red light at the bottom indicates the time to clean the filters. to reset it, use a paper clip. The red light on the bottom right is the filter indicator light, what looks like it should be a light beside that filter light, is actually a reset button, just poke it with a paper clip for a few seconds to reset. The bottom red light goes out
