GE MODEL # GSH22JSDSS IS NOT COOLING
I had a different problem recently on a different model GE refrigerator. My Fridge was up to about 45-50F. Check in the freezer. Is there frost on the back panel inside the freezer? Mine had about a half inch of frost on it. It\'s an indication that the defrost cycle is not working which was due to a temperature sensor on the evaporator that had gone bad. It\'s an inexpensive part that is easy to replace. Most GE\'s use part #AP3185407 (WR55X10025). It was around $9 plus shipping from appliancepartspros.com. First, unload the fridge and freezer and defrost it. Remove the back inside panel of the freezer and the evaporator will probably be caked with frost. Use a hair dryer to remove the rest of the frost. You\'ll see a small white bulb with a double white wire coming off it clipped to the top of the evaporator. Cut the wires and remove the old sensor. Attach the wires of the new sensor to the wires you cut from the old sensor (either solder or use a crimp but connector or similar). Put it all back together and you are in business. I hope this helps.
GE ETERNA not making ice or water
i had the same fridge i had to replace line in the back i dont know how but busted and when i try to get water in front door will end up in floor, also it has a selenoid that could not be working.thanks, and good lock
How do i remove evaperator cover in freezer
There are usually plastic lugs down each side. these prise out (be careful) and the evaporator is behind. Push the centres out slightly before you put them back in, and, once in place, push home. Why do you need to get into the evaporator?
There is no water coming from door water dispenser
I don't have a GE side by side, I have a Cafe bottom freezer. Water dispenses from the inside. Occasionally, the water has stopped working. Each time I've replaced the water filter, and that has solved the problem, not immediately, but after a few hours to a day. That's the best suggestion I can come up with, but remember ours is a similar, but not identical, refrigerator.
