GE ZDW24A Wine Cooler Questions & Answers
Ice build-up on GE ZDW24A wine cooler cooling coil
Probably the thermostat is bad , you can bypass it by putting together the two wires from the thermostat and if the unit starts working ,replace the thermostat ;only do this if you havesome knowledge of electrical work and be very carefull.
Thermosthat doesn't work
Hi , yes it sounds like the thermostat is stuffed.
To replace it is relatively simple but always keep in mind , switch off and un-plug it before working on it for safety ,
to replace it you will need a phillips head screw driver , a flat screw driver and a note pad,
where the dial is , that is the thermostat , the surrounding screws are what hold it in position so removal is only a matter of having a real good look inside .
Thermostats for this purpose are about $15 to $35 dollars depending on your country . replacement time is about a hour depending on how much trouble to have getting the old one out.
remember that this device has a small alloy tube which is the sensing part of the thermostat , be careful not to damage this because it carries a small refrigerant charge which is the primary temperature sensor so please be very careful and above all take your time .
I hope this helps you ,
Thank you and have a nice day:)
I have a simmons nuflex bed that is fine except the foot wont raise. Massage works on foot, but it just wont lift. No clicking or noises when using the remote
If the foot of your Simmons Nuflex bed will not raise, there may be an issue with the motor or the lift mechanism. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
- Check the remote control: Make sure the remote is properly functioning and the batteries are not dead. Also, check that the foot lift button is not stuck.
- Check the wiring: Check the wiring between the remote, the lift mechanism, and the motor for any frayed or disconnected wires. If you find any damaged wires, they will need to be repaired or replaced.
- Check the lift mechanism: Inspect the lift mechanism and look for any visible damage or debris that may be preventing the foot from raising. Clean the lift mechanism and lubricate it with light oil.
- Check the motor: If the motor is not functioning properly, it may be preventing the foot from raising. If the motor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
If you are not comfortable with these steps, or if the issue persists after trying them, it may be best to contact Simmons customer support or a professional technician for further assistance. They may ask you to provide your bed's serial number and other information to help troubleshoot the problem.
