Water come from my fridge

Hi sharifmorgan,

If your experiencing water on floor outside the refrigerator it might caused by the drain pan. There are some ways on how to correct this issue, either you clean the pan and reposition tray. In addition, here are some tips that you can apply to solve this problem. Please follow the steps below.

Before conducting any repair, please remember your safety. Unplug the machine or shut off the power at the breaker panel to avoid any electric shock.

1. Remove the drain pan and clean it with a warm soapy water or water and baking soda.
--> the drain pan is located at the bottom of the refrigerator behind the front grill.
--> Please remove the grill which snaps into place. Hold the drain pan while pulling slightly upward and forward.

2. If you noticed that the pan is too closed to the compressor please reposition the tray.

3. You may also try to check water invelt valve. It is located behind the refrigerator. Look for a water supply line coming into the valve and turn it off at the source. Now disconnect the supply line. It has screws so you need to remove them.

4. The water inlet valve is connected by two wires. Before disconnecting the wires please label the wire placement on the water inlet valve.

5. The wires are connected to the terminal with slip on connectors. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals ( don't pull on the wire ). You can use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Please check if the connectors and terminals has corrosion. If corroded they should be replaced.

Hope it helps.

My ice maker produces ice with white flakes in it, and slowly.

If you also get the flakes with the water from the water dispenser it could be the water chiller reservoir behind the crisper in the fridge. If it's just the ice maker the non stick surface in the ice mold may be coming loose.

Ice maker in our GE profile refrigerator is not working

Ice maker Diagnostic Test:

- Remove the ice bucket
-Turn the ice maker off, wait 15 seconds than turn it back on
-Press the ice paddle three times, this will begin diagnostic test.
-PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ICE MAKER DURING DIAGNOSTICS

-In 3 minutes you should see the rack inside turn 360 degrees
-AND the ice maker bowl should fill with water

-IF either DID NOT work, call 1-800-GE-CARES for ice maker replacement. A service call is approx $80. The $80 will be deducted from the part/labor if you choose to purchase/install parts from the service technician. If not, you will pay for the service call. Good luck.

Water will not dipence from door

Most of the time when this happens it is because the water line to the dispenser is frozen. Most refrigerators have a plastic tank or a large coil of plastic line located behind the food drawers and shelves in the refrigerator side. Try to locate yours and heat it up with a hair dryer to defrost it. There is two other things it could be but they are way more rare........The first is the water valve in back of the fridge, but if you hear a noise when you press the water lever on the door then it is not the water valve. The second thing is the button that the water lever presses when you want water. It is located behind the dispenser cover, but they rarely go bad. I would bet on a frozen water line.

My GE Profile ice maker has stopped making ice. It

There is a lever that goes up and down to measure the amount of ice and shuts down the production if the lever is on high. Make sure the lever is down and see what happens 12 hours later. If you still don't have ice, it will need professional work. So call your service agent where you purchased it to get it checked if that happens ok. Good luck.

Only bottom half of refrigerator And freezer is

Do a full defrost and then be sure the door is closed when not actually getting things in/out. Don't forget to check to see if your condenser coils are clean. If not, clean 'em! That may fix it.

If your defrost coil is bad then you have to replace it. It is located in the back of the freezer behind the panel. when you remove the panel you will see frost build up if the coil is bad.
