The water line valve in the door could have a bad gasket and need to be replaced, or the water line could have a crack in it. If you don't feel comfortable about accessing the line and parts, call a service repair person, otherwise you will probably be able to figure it out once you get in it.

Even frost free freezers will frost up in high humidity, especially if there is a poor door seal. Defrost the freezer by turning it of and placing pans of hot tap water in the freezer. You can speed this along by helping to remove the ice as it melts. Check the door seal after you've defrosted the freezer, a bad seal is one of the big causes of frosting up the next biggest problem is usually holding the door open.
If it's a frost free unit, if the problem continues you'll need to have it checked out.

Normally, the defrost heater can be checked for continuity rather than ohms of resistance. If the heater is o.k., then your problem may be the defrost thermostat or defrost timer. Contact an appliance service company.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

So the dispenser is getting water. Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

If the valves clicks but water doesn't get to ice maker the fill tube can be stopped up with ice.The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.
