You have to determine if it is the electrode or the ignitor module and replace the component. A simple test is to swap the wires on the spark module for the non working one and see if the other electrode still works. If not the electrode is bad, if it does than the module is bad.

Gas cooktop starter continues firing
Turn your gas valve on, but leave your unit unplugged for a few days. You can light your burners in the meantime with a lighter so you can cook. Usually this problem is caused by moisture getting into one of your ignitor switches which are under your burner knobs. Most of the time the switch dries out and you can plug your unit back in after a few days. If it still keeps firing then you will have to replace one or more of your ignitor switches. Usually a very difficult job as most gas cooktops are now sealed burner units which means the top of your cooktop is bolted down to the burners with several screws or nuts that heat up with usage and become almost impossible to remove, without having to drill out the screws, or chiseling off the nuts. Be careful of boilovers or cleaning around the knobs with too much water to prevent this from happening again. Also get a surge protector at least 2000 joules or higher to prevent damage to you spark module. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists
I have built-in ge gas
Hello. This is not dangerous. your problem is going to be 1 of 2 problems, 1st did you spill liquid on the switch? if so the switch has shorted out, unplug the appliance for 24 hours to dry the switch out then plug it back in( even if you don't remember spilling liquid on it)...If after 24 hours it is still clicking you have a bad switch (these are the burner knobs) check each one with a ohms meter, the one that is bad will read infinite on your ohms meter when it is switched off. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Good Luck!! Mike

Spark continuously on
If you have recently cleaned it, you may have gotten moisture behind the knobs and into the spark switches. Be very careful not to let moisture get behind knobs. Very dangerous. If this is the case, they may dry out themselves and stop sparking. If not you may need to replace a spark switch behind knob.
We woke up this morning and our JGP 336 is
You have a stuck ignitor switch on one of your burner valve stems.
Remove the front panel. Remove one wire at a time from each switch. When the clicking stops that will be the bad switch.
Igniter
I should say that it very dangerous to service glass appliances if you are not trained. If you have any question of your abilities stop here and call the pro's. Although I think I can help. 1st turn off the glass and disconnect it from valve. 2nd unplug 110v plug. Remove the cook top from counter and lay it top down on a towel. There is a series of screws around the perimeter of bottom. Remove these screws. The bottom should lift away allowing full access to all components. hope this helps and good luck.
