My camera is not detecting memory card. The model is Samsung sl620

It could be either the camera or the memory card. Try a different memory card. If the different card works, then likely your card is bad.

The charger for my Samsung

Try a new battery/charger. You should be able to get these under warranty if your camera is less than a year old.

Unable to downlad photos to my window 7 computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Dirt under lens

If this is a separate piece that is screwed onto the lens, then you may be able to remove it and carefully remove the material and replace the lens cover.

I have a samsung SL620.

WOW! The little guys are fast!
Mine come out blurred most of the time, unless it's outside with lots of light.

Sadly, the average digital cameras need that time delay to focus and adjust for light conditions and such.
You could press the button without waiting for this, but the camera will do its own thing, like take its time to focus and adjust and then take the picture.

The Manual setting could help a bit if you always stayed at the same distance and in the same light conditions, but you'd have to preset everything. Not enough time for that, right?

Does your camera have the feature where you can take several pictures in quick succession?
I have a Kodak Z712-IS and it is capable of doing it, but I'd have to use ESP to know when to start snapping pictures, and hopefully one comes out OK.

I TRIED CHARGE MY DIGITAL

Hello

Thank you for using FIXYA!!!

This is a suggestion. If you do not feel comfortable trying it, you will need to take the unit to your nearest service centre. Feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

The problem might be that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair centre for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

You can also have a look at THIS link.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you found this helpful.

Andrea

Every time im in video

If you have a manual for your camera I'm sure somewhere in there it'll tell you that the video mode will only shoot for a few minutes most are 1 minute. The reason is because of heat in the sensor and extreme drain on battery power.

I have an SL620 Samsung

Look at the memory card itself. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Wont turn on, battery is charged

Remove the battery off the set for few hours and reinsert to check , if the set had hung up this might solve but if not the camera must be checked from the battery voltage to the circuit within of the system controller.
remove the covers to check only if equipped to probe with tools as you must not end up tampering the camera. Take consensus.
