What is the real cause of blurd image when camera
Blurry images can become the source of disappointments especially for photography enthusiasts and this problem can be associated with the following problems:
- The camera may be out of focus
- Subject is in motion while the shutter is open
- The camera is moving while the shutter is open
- The depth of field is too shallow
These factors can result to low quality images and now that you are already aware of it, I am surely hoping that you will be able to come up with the best pictures! :)

Hi,
Take out your memory card and see if the lock switch on the side is in
the "locked" position. If it is in lock, then slide it to the other
position. What i mean is that the memory card itself should have a small switch on the side, that
can slide to two different positions. One of this is the "lock"
position, in which it is protected from writing.
Let me know, once you done the same.
Thanks and Regards

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
My autofocus on my canon
All auto focus cameras use contrast to focus so if you are attempting to focus on glass, chrome, blank sky, large body of water, painted wall, mirror, or any other low contrast subject the auto focus will fail. Another place auto focus will fail is when you are to close to your subject you my not be physically to close but have used the zoom to give a closer shot.
When i press the shutter
Sounds like the shutter life is spent. It time to bring it to the shop to get the shutter replaced. Sorry.

Canon models oddly do not support images on the LCD in every picture mode. Since the LCD works for settings, my guess is its in the wrong mode for the live view and its is not an issue with the camera's LCD.
Here is a link to the camera's PDF manual:
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0/0300004280/01/eosrti-eos500d-im2-en.pdf
If you need a PDF reader, you can download one for free here:
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/
The relevant section is on page 105 - "Live View Shooting".
Be careful using this mode as it can cause damage to the camera's sensors if you shoot directly at the sun or other intensely bright objects. This mode will also drain the batteries faster than normal shooting. A full charge should last about an hour in continuous shooting in this mode.

If I were you, I'd bring it to a service center, or return it immediately to where you bought it because if you pro long the period that you have it they may not allow you to return it. If its under warranty then get that just don't touch it anymore.

The T1i does not have this feature, like most digital SLR cameras. You should just look through the viewfinder to take the photo, which gives you a much more precise view of the photo, where you can better assess the correctness of focus, etc.
This feature is called "Live View" and is available on some newer or higher end models.

Is this happening when you try to focus on something pretty close to the camera?
If that's the problem, it's because the lens has a focus distance 0.25m/0.8ft meaning the subject has to be this far away for the lens to be able to focus. You could buy a new lens with smaller focus distance if this is a big problem to you.
