Canon EOS 500D / Digital Rebel T1i Digital Camera - Page 5 Questions & Answers
I am trying to transfer
When you connect the camera to the Mac, you must have the camera powered ON. THe Mac will automatically recognize the camera and will open iTunes to download the pictures. IF this does not happen, you may have a bad cable or a bad USB port on the Macbook. Try a different cable, or try a different port. Good Luck.
We have a Canon EOS 500D. After using it for 18
Sounds to me as if someone has set the image "Quality" to RAW files which are more for a professional or advanced amateur use. Page 70 of your owners manual will show you how to set this "Quality" to jpg. I'm going to include a screen shot of this page because it has diagrams and instructions far better then what I can explain just in type.
Also the RAW files you have must me downloaded to your computer, opened in your image software program and converted to jpg file format before you can print, e-mail or any other "normal" thing people do with jpg format.
RAW is just that the actual raw file of the image captured where as the jpg file format is the compressed version with corrections already made in camera. RAW files need correction in post processing.
I suspect you are using the Rebel's direct printing feature which can not process RAW file format, I don't think you want to print RAW as there has been not corrections.
I know this will help.
Here is the diagrams.

Hi i m new at slr camera , i buy canon 500d , and
Check to see if you have the flash set on "red-eye". This causes the flash to pre-flash to eliminate red-eye in your photos. It's a real pain for most photos but if you're shooting in low light, it will eliminate the red-eye.
Hi. Went to shoot using
Have you tried a new/different memory card and formatted that card within the camera? It could be that the card is corrupt...
Why is my camera saying memory card full when it
I'm willing to bet you've bought a counterfeit memory card from eBay or an online store which sells Chinese fakes and sells them as inflated capacities. Usually they will take a 2GB card, put a stick on it that says "32GB" or "16GB" and then build that size into the file structure of the card. When you insert the card in a card reader it appears to have 32GB of space on it, but when you get to 2GB it suddenly "stops working" and says it's full.
The other possibility is that you have more than one folder on the card (depending on your settings within the camera for file management) and when you are deleting photos off the card maybe you are only clearing out one of the folders.
Bought used BG-E5 online. Looking for instruction
I've just looked around for it and can't find a .pdf either. Is there something specific you'd like to know? I've owned 3 BG-E5's and they are very simple devices (I still have one and its manual), which might explain why no one has bothered to scan and upload the book. Basically you remove the battery door on the camera, slide the extended part of the battery grip with the contacts up into the battery compartment on the camera, tighten the screw ring on the body to hold it in place, and insert one or two batteries in the tray. There is an on/off switch which either enables or disables the buttons on the grip itself. Alternatively you can use AA batteries with the other tray provided. Other than that, there's not much else to say about it!
I have just bought a EOS 500D camera and I must
Reading the manual is the greatest way to learn about your new camera however sometimes the terminology (new language) can be more of a challenge. Okay to address your question the "new" SD (secure digital) memory card has a little switch on the side I'll include a diagram so you can see what position this switch needs to be in. Being new the camera or your instructions are asking you to format the memory card to clean the surface and make it ready to properly communicate with your cameras "firmware" (that's software for a camera) Formatting a memory card should be done after each download of pictures to a computer, if the memory card is new or if the memory card was used in another camera. Hope this was a help

Hello, I am trying to adjust my Canon T1i so that
There must be a reason you want a 200DPI which by the way you accomplish in "post" processing.
My suggestion with a Rebel and the 18-55 is to set the file is maximum Fine and then resizing in your image software. Glassware is a vague description some people may consider "Lead Crystal" as glassware and there is a difference, however in the almost 20 years I've been photographing Glassware I've used manual mode.
My flash quit working on my canon EOS 500D on
This camera is only one model period old, is it still under warranty? If so take it in for service. I'm including a diagram of the manual release button on the side of the camera for the flash. Try pressing this button to see if it pops up. If not the problem you are experiencing is not uncommon and is due to extreme close tolerances between the sensor "pins" under the hot shoe and the hot shoe itself. There is build up of dirt or oils from handling the camera that have clogged the tiny holes under the hot shoe where these pins are located. So the camera thinks there is something in the hot show, sometimes the little plastic shipping spacer is all it takes if that's there remove it and try the internal flash manual pop up. Also the internal pop up flash will only work automatically popping up while the camera is set in the "Basic" mode otherwise you need to manually push the button to charge and use the flash. I had one person after telling her what it was that stopped the flash tapped the surface around the hot shoe and what ever it was dislodged and the flash began to work again. Really this is a service item and warranty if it's under any type of extended or factory warranty.
Why wont the T1i let
I'll give your the diagrams to select the live view feature but for sports, it's not going to work unless you want blurry action shots. Also you can shoot in the basic zones you need to be in the creative zones to have the LCD even come on in Live View.

Have some fun with it but I think you will return to that "tiny viewfinder" there is a reason why the pro's use the viewfinder
I bought a Canon EOS
I've been looking at this question for over an hour and my first thoughts were why would anyone choose to deform one of their pictures, once I got over that I went over the manual several times.
I knew I had not seen this feature since the infrared light burning information into the FILM image.
With digital if you open the image in Photoshop or your image software that came with the camera it will give you the day date time in the exif file. The Canon software will actually give all the perimeters that the picture was made under right down to the white balance and where the custom functions were set. All this information and it didn't deface your image.
After I take picture, the
Check to make sure that you did not accidentally change image format from jpg to crw(camera raw). Your camera lcd will only display jpg files and you need special software to view raw files on the pc.
