Goodmans tv 32inch flat screen remote does not work
Have the remote checked--it can be tested to see if it is the
problem--if remote is good but does not work on set the remote receiver
may be bad inside the TV.Most shops and some electronic places
have a remote tester--point remote at it and press the buttons and if
working a light reacts---some digital cameras will also if on react on the little screen they have if this is done.Either the remote or the receiver in the set is most common.

I have a 32 in,goodmans lcd tv.after about 30 mins
I'm afraid I don't have the solution but a very similar problem, although I just get the speaker crackle, rather than any problems with the picture/the TV turning off.
Did you manage to resolve it?

I have a vestel tv
The problem you have described occurs due to a faulty LCD controller(T-CON) board. The board is inexpensive(costs around 40$) is easy to replace. Let me know if you wish to do it yourself so that I can help you find a replacement part and fix it.

My goodmans tv switched itself off and won't work
Make sure that the electricity is working
Make sure that every connection is in place the
scart connection as well.
Disconnect and wait for 2-5 minutes
and connect and start.
If that does not work look for troubleshooing in the manual or click on the name of your TV here at the top of the page.
good luck

Sound but no picture
hi there.presumably you get a quick flicker of picture when first switched on?.If so, you will need to replace the inverter board, readily available on ebay.
another problem these sets can have is no picture in the middle, just at the sides, and gets progressively worse over time, until there is no picture.this problem is caused by two 680uf,35v capacitors on the power supply, which burst as they are under-rated budget parts, all too common these days!
hope this helps somewhat!regards,
steve

THE PICTURE HAS A WIDE
I can only assume from the detail that you have a bad lback light and probably should have that replaced. The tv uses a bank of florescent lights for the lighting to see the picture.
