I have a sanyo tv model # DP46848. one half of the sreen stays dark until it seems to warm up. it is taking longer to warm up now. is it repairable and what part would I be looking for. thank you

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

When turning on the TV, it'll display image for just a second then stop. Audio, however, still plays. There also appears to be some bright blue pixels in that brief second.

tvs have a very complex system inside, when a component goes bad many times they will fire up until they get hot and then quit working, it takes a professional to fix in most cases. you can search you tube for this model and see if anyone has posted a repair for your problem but if you don't know how things come apart or how to solder etc it is best to let a professional repair it or get a newer set

Why does my sanyo dp46848 screen go dark but whites are too bright?

First try to gently push the cable between the main board and the LCD controller (T-CON) board and if that doesn't affect the image then replace the T-con board.

Tv flashes on then off

See if you can change the input. and see if it is any better. If not there may be something loose internally. I don't recommend attempting to repair yourself, but having a tech do it can be pricey. Try and leave the TV off for 24 hours and trying again, if it persists you may need to replace the TV. Good luck

No picture used to have lines at the top

It could be your current problem, but it is not the problem causing the lines. You can send the main board to us and we can test it and see how it behaves, possibly fix it, but we likely won't be able to take care of those lines.

Sanyo DP46848 im stumped lol... with nothing

Although you have not posted a picture, I believe you may have a screen or LCD panel problem, the panels have film connections that go from the t-con module, through the panel control pc boards then through thinn film connectors from the lcd screen. Likely this is the problem.

47in sanyo flat screen gets a black shadow across it got to tap it to make it stop but happens alot . model DP46848

You have a defective LCD panel tab connection. The only permanent fix is to replace the panel. A replacement panel will cost more than a new set. I had the same problem with the exact same set.
