Connect the iPod shuffle USB cable connector into a high-power USB port on your computer. Note: To charge an iPod shuffle battery, connect the device to a high-power USB port.

Please be aware that USB keyboards and non-powered USB hubs generally do not have high-power USB ports.

If you connect to a low or non-powered port, iPod shuffle will not charge.

The computer must be turned on and set to not go to sleep.

Plug the other end of the iPod shuffle USB Cable into the headphone port on the iPod shuffle.

Verify the iPod shuffle is connected securely.

Once the iPod shuffle is plugged in, it will take about 2 hours to charge the battery to 80% capacity and about 3 hours to charge it to 100%.

Please note that ipod's generally uses itunes to load songs. Make sure u have an updated itunes installed in your system, after that, what you have to do is open the music folder of the songs u want to load and also open the itunes with your ipod detected, then simply drag from the music folder and paste in the ipod of the itunes. Once again, you need an itunes to be able to access and load your ipod. Goodluck.

charge it up fully, or leave it plugged into the charger for about 3-4 hrs then try again. sometimes it doesnt recognize the device if there isnt enough battery power

the best way to go about this is to try and put it in an area where it is going to get dried quickly. it is not advisable you open it and try to dry it.
if you can put it in a pot of boiling rice(though it sounds stupid) that should help dry the water molecules that are still inside if that is what is causing it. on the other hand, it is possible that the water that got inside has damaged the lcd but it is what giving a try.

install it and just follow on screen instruction. after the process is completed, sync your shuffle to itunes.
after that your ipod shuffle would work as normal.
my concern is, dont ever try formatting again using format utility of windows, you might get the shuffle corrupted permanently.

Try updating the firmware then try again.

it really doesn't matter as long as you can see it in you itunes library then u know it's charging just keep one thing in mind read the manual to learn that ipod shuffle's and all ipod's have limited charging cycles meaning that someday ur ipod will die good luck

Can you connect your itouch to your computer and then press and hold the power button for approx 15 seconds tilll it turns off then let go of the power button and keep the home button pressed for another 20 seconds at which point you can let go and your iTunes should see the itouch in recovery mode.

Onc eyou have it downloaded can you run it then open up it and if your ipod is in recovery mode it should say something that indicates the ipod is in recovery mode.



You will be in a MS-Dos window where you can type
"cmd fsboot" then wait a few seconds and your ipod should revert to its original state.

Have you tried to reset it? to reset you need to slide the lock back and forth, unlock to lock and back to unlock next hold down the menu and the center button at the same time until you see the apple logo appears. Hope that helps

There is no lock on the player itself, but double-check the dock itself to see if it has a lock switch or hold button. What was the full error msg that you got again? What did Apple tech support have you do?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
