20 Most Recent Craig CMP168C MP3 Player Questions & Answers

Mine did the same thing. I talked with a guy at the company and he told me it was frozen. What you need to do is let it run till the entire battery is dead. Than recharge it completely. For 4 hours at least. That should reset it. Now my player works fine.
Good luck.

Hi trueworddeli...
Try this solution to your problem

Go to Device Manager

To get to the Device Manager
Right click on MY COMPUTER> PROPERTIES> click the Hardware tab> Device Manager
Here you should see no "yellow" exclamation points.
If you do then it means that you have a device conflict.
If you currently have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your MP3 Player
Click on any item that has the exclamation and remove it.
After you remove all devices with conflicts and then click on refresh, and you will search for your MP3 player.
If you MP3 Player is not there restart the computer and then go back to Device Manager.
The computer will have installed your MP3 player this time and recognize it..
Please take time to rate me
