Futura ce-100. Why isn't it feeding the fabric?

they are too new of a machine to need a gear replaced. It should have a button or small lever to lower your feed dogs. sounds like they might be lowered. Turn the machine by hand and see if the feed dogs raise above the needle plate. If not find the switch to raise the feed dogs.

I have a Singer Futura CE-150 and it keeps

Either upper thread is not passing through thread sensor area or sensor is broken.
Second possible reason is that if design is not optimized the sporadic speed change provides thread breakage error even if the thread is not broken physically. Make sure your software is updated to optimize it automatically (Futura main menu->Help->Live Update).

Top thread wrapping around hook under needle plate then jamming

Could be the needle is the incorrect size or the thread is not compatible with the embroidery or both. :)

Singer futura ce-200 tension problem

stop, remove all threading, clean machine,be sure to clean the top tenion disks with a thicker thread, change needle, rethread carefully and try a test swatch. If not working still, your tension could be out of adjustment. Adjust top tension until the top thread of your swatch balances with the bottom. Use two contrasting colors of thread so you can know which tension is wrong, Remove bobbin and dangle by the thread, it should not move untill you jerk it and should drop about 3-4 inches. Adjust small screw until this works. Try another swatch.

Everytime I open the Singer

The Singer software is cr..... It's loaded with a bunch of junk. The best thing you can do, seriously, is go into your control panel, remove all of the software from the PC (keep the USB cord unplugged from the sewing machine) and reinstall EVERYTHING.

If you aren't clear on any of the steps of what you have to do, please post a comment back to me. I'm not only an avid sewer, but am pretty computer savvy. I'll be happy to take you through the steps to get you back up and running. I have a CE100 myself and troubleshot people running Windows 7 without the 2.5 Futura upgrade on their PC's to get their Futura's running. I'm not great, but I am pretty good. We'll get you embroidering in no time and to heck with the lack of Singer's support!

Usually when this happens the bobbin is in wrong, replace it make sure the thread is going out the right way, make sure there is no lint or small pieces of thread around or underneath the bobbin area. Make sure you thread it with the foot up. Also make sure you are usng the right bobbin for the machine. They can easy get mxed up.

Problem with bobbin case - new machine Singer CE 100

My problem is solved (I think...that is a knock on wood kind of thing). Upon recommendation from another Futura user, I remove and clean my bobbin case and I put a drop of oil in the little hole under my bobbin case about every 5th or 6th monogram use. AND, I pitched all of my bobbins that were 15 and not 15J (I had some that were 15 and they were the culprit as well.) I have had no more problem. It seemed the least bit of lint caused me a lot of birdnesting. I also stopped using rayon thread and use only polyester and bobbin fill in the bobbin. I have got to say I am thoroughly enjoying my machine these days. Please try these things before giving up on this so user friendly machine.

I just installed Singer Futura CE 100 software to

YOUR PC RUNS WINDOWS 7 PRO OR ABOVE If you have Windows 7 Professional or Above, the solution torunning any XP software is fairly easy. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx.Select your Windows 7 system and language, follow ALL the instructions, andMicrosoft will take you through to running XP mode on your Windows 7 system!Hurray! If you still have a problem with the USB cable being recognized, besure you're plugging it into the BACK of your machine, not through a hub or inone of the front ports. The program for the embroidery machine and the USBcable require more power than either of these allow, a technical point Singerdoesn't seem to be aware of. You should be fine to install the machine'ssoftware and run it from within the XP mode now. YOUR PC RUNS WINDOWS 7 HOME, STARTER OR VISTA Unfortunately, you'll need to have an original of Windows XPfor this, no way getting around it. Hopefully, you still have a copy of itlying around, or have a family member, neighbor or friend who does. Maybe acheap eBay buy? Doesn't matter if it's XP Pro or Home. This solution is quite abit more complicated, but you can get there. I run Windows 7 Home and I usethis solution to successfully run the embroidery software on my Singer FuturaCE-100; the application should be no different for any other machine requiringXP software and unable to run in either Vista or Windows 7, so take courage andcharge forward! You're going to want to download a free and SAFE softwarecalled VmWare Player. The download requires you to register, but there's nocost, it's updated regularly to keep it safe and has been thoroughly checkedout by a lot of geek experts out there. It's available at http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/desktop_downloads/vmware_player/3_0.Fill in the required information, follow the instructions from the email you'resent, and download the software. Normally, the software will be downloaded tothe "Downloads" folder, unless you tell it to download elsewhere. Before you do anything else, place the Windows XP CD in yourCD drive. Make sure you have the registration number ready. Now go to the"Downloads" folder, double click on the VmWare installation file(Vmware-player-etc, etc) and follow the instructions to install. Once that isinstalled and you've rebooted your PC, double-click the icon on your desktopfor the VmWare Player. It will automatically open up with a Welcome screen.Click on "Create a New Virtual Machine." The next window will automaticallyshow under installer disc "Windows XP (Pro or Home" detected." Just click next.Enter the XP product key and keep entering any required information in theBLANK spots in the following screens. ANY spot filled in LEAVE ALONE. Now leave the PC alone-the process will take about 20minutes. Once it is done, VmWare Playerwill automatically launch the Tools Installer to integrate the virtual XP withyour computer. It may have to download or update the tools, so if you see ayellow banner at the bottom of your window, simply click Update Tools orInstall Tools depending on your situation. The tools will automaticallydownload and install, though you may have to approve a prompt or two. You will be able to click between folders on your Windows7/Vista system and the XP Virtual Machine to copy and paste your designs backand forth. I strongly suggest that whatever AntiVirus software you use on yourWindows 7/Vista you also install on the XP, as it will look for updates on theinternet and will thus be subject to any viruses out there. Make sure you useany firewall, as well, if you use something other than the XP default (you'llknow if you do). Now-close the VmPlayer completely. Don't restart it, closeit. Then reopen it. Do you get a message at the bottom telling you that the USBdevice connections are disabled? We have one more step, then, before installingthe embroidery machine's software. USB DEVICE CONNECTIONS DISABLED OR USB ARBITATION SERVICEFAILS/TERMINATED OR DEVICE ATTACHED TO THE SYSTEM IS NOT FUNCTIONING. Arggggh! One more thing? Okay, this is the really technicalpart. The problem is you have an AMD processor, not an Intel, in your machine.Congratulations on a smart purchase. VmPlayer has a little conflict with it.What I'm going to have you do may seem a little scary, but it is simple todo-and there is a backup so that if anything goes wrong we can fix it. JUSTDOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING YOU DO BEFORE YOU DO IT. Okay. Your going to go into an area that's supposedly forbidden inyour computer-nonsense. Make a backup, be careful, and understand that otherswho know what they're doing have written, gone over, and done theseinstructions before you. And my PC works just fine WEEKS after I've done this! First, let's make a back up. Click onto the Start icon in thelower left hand side. See that blank line on the bottom just begging for somethingto be typed into it? Type "regedit" and hit ENTER. Click on FILE, EXPORT.Select DESKTOP on the right, name the file REG BACKUP and click SAVE. Now youhave made a full backup of your registry so if anything goes wrong you can goright back into "regedit" and go to FILE, IMPORT and select the file. See?Easy. Now. In the Registry Editor screen that you've opened, 1. ClickHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\(36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8065-444553540000). 2. In the right hand panel, if UpperFilters exists, delete it. YES, delete it. 3. Go toHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\. 4. Delete the usbfilter string. 5. Close the registry 6. You will want to go into Start, then Computer.Double Click on C, then Windows\System 32/Drivers. Scroll down to the fileusbfilter.sys and delete it. Now reboot your computer. FINALLY-REINSTALL YOUR EMBROIDERY SOFTWARE ACCORDING TO THEORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR MANUFACTURER. And yell at them for not paying for the original programmerof the software to update the software properly to operate on Vista and Windows7! I hope this helps everyone! It took a bit of research, butit's been well worth it. Happy embroidery!

Singer ce350 bobbin thread on top

Be sure when you are threading the top thread that you ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. This releases the tension disk and allows the thread to seat properly. Have you gone back and re-tested on your test fabric? Does it work okay on the test fabric? If so, then there's a suspicion that it has something to do with the fabric, needle & thread of your project. Is your project fabric very dense, heavy... Are you using a stabilizer? A hoop--is it taut, not stretched? Make sure the fabric is not trampolining. Could be an incompatibility. The needle & thread may be having difficulty piercing the fabric. Try a different weight needle, perhaps a microtex or embroidery needle.

All lights blink constant

That's an indicator that something is wrong with the machine, but it's usually user fixable. I'm going to assume that that happens when you attach the embroidery unit and turn the machine on. It indicates that for whatever reason, your machine cannot move the hoop to its default position. That could be because you have the small hoop attached (turn it on with NO hoops), the needle is not in its HIGHEST position, or the unit itself is not making a complete connection. Make sure that it is on solid level surface, raise the needle to its highest position (ALWAYS turn the wheel towards you), make sure the unit is making solid contact, and remove all hoops, and then try turning it on.

Will not sew

Try turning off the machine and turning it on again. Sometimes this will reset it so it will work. Also, make sure the embroidery foot is in the down position; the machine will pause and "beep" if you haven't lowered it. Hope this helps!

Bobbin winderbb

On the back of the wheel there is a "tire". Sometimes the tire wears out. Just force it off and replace it with a new one. If you take a look there is a way to adjust the tire closer to the hand wheel that is moving next to it. It's easy so don't be too concerned.

Singer Futura CE100 Connect Error. Check that USB cable is connected and power switch is turned on.

So here's what I did and it worked for me. Somehow the WinDriver that is on the software is uninstalling itself and needs to be listed with the drivers for Jungo for this software to work. I installed the software when I first got the machine with no problems, then suddenly I couldn't open it and was receiving the same connection error. When you go to http://www.futura-support.com/faq/machine.htm#2 to install the drivers, you'll notice their screen shot shows both the CLEM driver and the WinDriver. Check your machine following their instructions to see if you have both listed under the Jungo driver. If not, go to http://www.jungo.com/st/windriver_usb_pci_driver_development_software.html and select the link under "Available WinDriver Toolkits" for your operating systems (I selected WinDriver USB for Windows). It asks a bunch of questions which I didn't know the answer to so I selected "other" on almost everything then entered "NA"or "?" for the other description. Select Download now and it will need to restart your computer. Once done, I looked at the device manager again and now WinDriver is listed under Jungo and CLEM and the software opens, no problems.

This will at least temporarily solve the issue, however, it's a free trial which means the download will expire at some point. Good news is, the windriver is on the futura disk, I just don't know why it's not installing or staying on the machine. I am sending all of this to Singer to figure out what they're missing in the installation files and hopefully get a fix permanently.

Good luck!
