My stitch length is tiny and will not change
When selecting a stich, there's a button with a triangle with one edge pointing down. There you can select Needle Position and Stitch Length. --PDF manual, page 23
The thread tension has no influence on the stitch length. It just adjusts, where needle thread and bobbin thread 'meet' inside the fabric. A too high tension means, the bobbin thread is pulled trough the fabric and can be seen on the upper (needle) side. A too low tension means, the bobbin thread is not pulled through the fabric and you can see the needle thread on the bobbin side.
How do I clear the memory?
What size lettering are you using? You can try smaller lettering or a larger hoop.
also try going to edit then clear.
I have loops on the bottom of my work , top thread not tightening .How do I tighten it .
If this is happening during embroidery, please make sure the presser foot is in the down position. With the embroidery foot on, it's sometimes hard to tell.
The check spring in your upper tension may be bad. You won't be able to fix it yourself. Take it in to your local repair shop.
The last option is to remove the needle plate and bobbin case. Turn the screw on the front 1/4 turn to the left, no more. If this doesn't help, leave it alone and take it in to the shop.
My janome memory 9000 squeaks when embroidering
If it squeaks when you are embroidering and not when you are sewing, it's the belts on the embroidery unit. From use, they can become glazed, slick and then they squeak.
If it squeaks when you are doing either, it's more than likely an internal lubrication of the machine that needs to be done by a trained technician.

Servicing and cleaning my sewing machine
Hello Hazel
The Memory Craft 9000 is a computerized sewing machine. In removing the casing precautions must be taken to prevent damage to the electronic boards which are costly to replace. As a result it is recommended by the manufacturer (Janome) that this work be performed only by qualified technicians with the required equipment to prevent any damage.
What is the reason for requiring the casing to be removed?
I have a Janome MC9000. The touch screen is out
You need to adjust the screen. Turn the machine off. Press simultaneously the three buttons on the front (Start, reverse and stop) at the same time turn the machine on.
Press the crosses that appear on the screen and it should all be fine.
