Buttons all work but drum will not spin and it shows code f01
You dont mention make! Does it start program then shut off or does it fill then not turn? First part of any program is to pump out any water left from it previous program .if something is blocking pump (bra wire/coins/hair bobble etc) it will shut down and putup a code.if its the brushes in the motor or belt broken it will start then pump then fill then may carry through whole program as it doesnt know its drum isnt spinning.or it will detect and show fault code.replacing brushes in motor is for somebody who knows what theyre doing.but its straight forward and brushes are cheap. Pumps blocking again common but most people can clear a blockage via a door at bottom of machine.water will ome out so take drain tube and hold in a bucket at ground level first

Does my dryer have a fuse in it
Sounds like either the thermostat which will be close to the heating elements, if not that, then the heating element...I'd guess it's the thermostat. Cheap fix

How do you convert dryer from a three prong to a four prong outlet?
What is a 4 pronged outlet? Is it the mains socket on the wall?
If so, then use a multimeter ser on AC and use the red and black probes in each hole to make readings. Should be around 240v across the probes. Are you sure it's not 2 euro sockets beside each other....they have only 2 holes in most of theirs.

I have a amana dryer and it want turn on was the problem
I really need to no
Check the fuse in the main box in case a circuit breaker has tripped
If that is fine check the fuse in the power plug .
If that is fine too and power is getting to the machine it may be a switch problem , you can test this with a multimeter observig safety precautions.
Beyond that you will probably need a repairman/technician to diagnose it

Where is the heating element located
Bradley,
Just saw your other question. The heating element is located below and behind the drum. You will have to remove the front panel and the drum to gain access to the heating element. Be sure to unplug your dryer before attempting any repairs. Also, since you will be removing the drum, make sure that you take note of how the belt goes around the motor and idler pulley. You should also take a good look at your belt, might be a good time to replace it while you are in that deep. If it has tiny cracks on the inside, I would recommend replacing it. Hope this helps!
