Then its probably hot. With such a vague question. You get a vague answer. But really it could be the intimate switch for the element or if smooth top the element itself.

If all burners and oven no longer heat, you don't have 240volts supplies to the oven any more. Could be wire burnt off terminal block where the cord attached or could be that your household electrical has a problem.

If you take off the back and follow the wires.

You most likely need to replace the control and temp switch. It's not really safe to use you should have it done as soon as possible.

what is a infinite switch and where is it?

It is a kenmore glass top stove about18 years old. One of the burners stop working just wondering if I can fix it myself?

This Kenmore was built by Whirlpool. The F2-E1 error indicates a problem with the keypad wiring. Try pressing Cancel. Next make sure that the keypad is connected to the wiring harness (if it is separate from the rest of the control). You may need to replace the keypad or the entire control board (ERC or Clock). F2-E0 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. F9 is a door lock error and to solve this issue you can hold the light switch for 15 seconds, this will reset the control. If it won't work then hold the light switch in and set the unit to clean and after a minute press cancel to cancel the clean cycle. If still it won't work then the door lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Error code F7 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still there then the electronic control board should be replaced. F9 is the door lock circuit.

Try pushing in on the top of the door while pushing cancel. If this isn't work, check this article to find other clues and parts replacement: clean-lock.
