What is f1 err and how it does go away!

The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced

E1 f5 after cleaning and door will not open

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Kenmore oven baking element replaced wont heat or broil

It appears your ERC/CLOCK has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Oven won't heat on broil or bake.

Typically - Heating elements will not fail at the same time - nor will relays.... so your CLOCK is the culprit in this situation.

Getting error code F3 on range. Replaced sensor

The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven.

This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board.
If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe.
If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly.

Error f10 pops up & oven shuts off. how do i

The F10 indicates that the electronic oven control board senses a runaway temperature condition in the oven through the oven sensor circuit.
This can be caused by a faulty oven temperature sensor probe or a failed electronic control board.
Oven temperature is detected by the control board as it monitors the resistance through the oven temperature sensor circuit.
You could have a failed oven temperature sensor, a wiring harness failure, an open thermal switch or a failed electronic oven control board that would cause this problem.
The first component to check would normally be the oven temperature sensor probe.
If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can shut off the breaker for the range and remove the screws that mount this sensor to the back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the wire harness into the oven cavity until you get to the wire harness disconnect plug.
You should have enough slack to pull it this far into the oven.
Disconnect the sensor but do not let the wire harness retract back through the back wall of the oven or it will be hard to reconnect.
Measure the resistance of the oven temperature sensor with your volt/ohm meter. At room temperature, the resistance should measure around 1100 ohms.
The resistance chart is shown in the image below.

If the resistance is above 2200 ohms at room temperature, then the sensor probe is causing the F10 error code and will need to be replaced.

You can order a new sensor probe from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the sensor is 316217002.

If the resistance is normal, then one of the other causes mentioned above is producing your F10 code.
You would need to access the electronic oven control board (Timer) in the console and check the resistance at the sensor circuit connection to the control board as the next step in troubleshooting this problem.

I did the self clean on my oven, and now the oven

Hi

Error E1 F5 means that the control has detected a problem with door latch switch. Switch off the power and unplug it from the mains. Check after 5-6 minutes whether the error has disappeared. If the error is still there then once again start the self clean cycle. Press the self-clean button to start the cycle. The panel becomes blank (---), then press the up arrow (^). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning. After self cleaning is done wait for 15-20 minutes and open the door. Try moving the latch manually to unlock it. hope this helps...

Can't get cleaning mode to go off

Your bottom element is bad. It is shorted to chassis.. Remove it and inspect it. By the way didn't anyone tell you not to use the self clean feature? 900 degrees for 2 hours is bound to mess up the control board. Especially after the warranty is out. Digital oven displaying all "8s"

Turn the power off on the range for at least 5 minutes this will reset the computer. Just turning the breaker on and off will not reset it. If this does not fix the problem You need a new clock.

Oven element

model T, either you have a stuck or shorted broil keypad or the relay on the board is welded closed. Try this, remove the back panel behind the control panel. Make sure the breaker is off to the range. Unplug the keypad ribbon cable to the main board. Power the unit back up. You should get an error code. Now if the broiler still comes on you know you have a welded broiler relay on the board. If the broiler doesn't come on..it's the keypad. Catriver.
