Changing area regions on DVD

please follow this steps and fix it. Merry Christmas. Turn on your DVD player.
    • 2
Open the DVD player's main drive, also commonly called the DVD "tray." The region cannot be changed while a DVD is in the machine, so many DVD players require the tray to be open as an extra precaution.
    • 3
Push "Info" or "Setup" on your remote.
    • 4
Use the remote to select the "Region" option as indicated on your TV screen.
    • 5
Select "Region 9" to change the system to multiregion formatting. Regions 1 through 8 represent specific geographic locations and will not allow multiregion playback.

I have 2 vcr's Philips

The problem seems related to the main processor/memory of the combo. The clocks seems to reset for many reasons and so we can try and check out some of the possible factors.
1. check if there is any loose connections on the power supply side. remove and connect all the connections of the connectors.
2. check on the power supply and the main board and observe with a magnifying glass for any signs of dry soldering or poor joints.
3. It will be good to re-solder the main processor and the allied circuits, the crystal oscillator , the +5 voltage regulator .Check and see if the crystal works .replace and confirm,
4. Finally make sure there is no power interrupted specially when the speakers vibrate so as to reset.
If none of the above works then it is possible there are errors in the processor IC/ memory IC.

Change region code on a samsung v6800

This is not promised to work but a known hack for your model of DVD player is...

Make sure the player is switched on, and is at the Samsung logo
screen. Also check the tray is shut and that there's no disc in the
player.

Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit
code. This code is different depending on what region your player is
*currently* set to:

R1 - 29334
R2 - 38767
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462

So for example if you have an R2 player, press REPEAT-3-8-7-6-7.

If you've done this correctly (and your player is compatible with the
hack), you should see a number at the top left corner of the screen
corresponding to the current region.

Now, pressing any number from 1 to 6 will change to the corresponding
region. Or, press 9 for auto-region mode.

Next, press OPEN/CLOSE to open the tray, followed by Standby (or DVD
POWER) on the remote to close it and put the player into Standby mode.
The next time you turn your player on, the new region will be set.

Don't forget that if you want to hack it again, you'll need to use a
different code, as listed above. If it's currently set to region 9,
use the code for the last *proper* region you set it to.

People have reported a problem with the codes given however another was posted (57538) try that one to!!

My DVD-V6800 player used to play all region discs.

Hello,
it seems the lens is at fault, so
There are laser-cleaning discs available and that is where you should start. But, if that does not work, then it is very possible the laser head is out of alignment. You will have to take it to a shop to get it repositioned properly. Lasers in DVD players go bad all the time. Check the price of a new player before thinking about repairing the old one. Do not be fooled by the higher end units, either. They fail at the same rate as the less expensive ones.

Hope this help.....

Want to make Samsung V6800 multizone, can anyone

Unfortunately, I got the answer somewhere else, but I'm happy to pass it on. Here it is. I did the 'repeat button and the R4 number and the 9. And it works on the overseas ones and the local ones. I never saw a number in the top left hand corner, but it works.
