Dynex DX-L26-10A 26 in. HD-Ready LCD TV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My TV we belive was affected by lightning. The TV
There has to be some form of a fuse that is in the AC power line, it may be a square ceramic fuse or a regular cartridge fuse, chances are its blown if the set is dead after a lightning storm, unfortunately if you replace it there is a really good chance it will blow again, if it does then the rectifier diodes would be shorted and need replacing or you could replace the power supply if your unable to repair it yourself
My TV signal source is
I would suggest using dedicated input button on remote, not the menu on the tv. If you can skip setup screen that would be best. I have just looked at the manual for that tv, it tells you all you need to know, depending upon which input you used for your box. As I stated use the direct input button on the remote if you have it.
WE HAVE A GOOD PICTURE BUT WHY DON'T WE GET AUDIO?
Check tv setting for audio. If off turn on.
If you use a sound system make sure it is on and connected to your TV using hdmi from sound system to cabl box.You must have your remote able to turn on audio and tv at the same time. Be sure your input setting is hdmi 1 if you use cable and tv is plugged into hdmi1.
If you still don't get sound can't act you carrier sorry tv vendor
Troubleshooting con
Make sure that the power cord is plugged in and press Power on the TV and/or remote. Make sure that the correct video input source is selected (HDMI 2, etc). Try another channel; the station may be experiencing problems. You can also try power cycling the TV, by turning it off & unplugging it for a few minutes. Plug it back in, turn it on and restore settings back to factory defaults. If issues still persist, I would recommend pursuing repairs.
Light blink 6 times
6 times blinks denote a fault to its main board.

Dynex model dx-l24-10a no red
First thing to know is if you are using the component input on back of set (red, blue, green) to make sure red plug at both ends is all the way in.If hooked another way or using a box or not let me know.
My Dynex DX-L26-10A display is not working. The audio is completely functional, but no matter what input I am on whether it be TV or HDMI, all I get is an illuminated but black screen. Ideas?
Most often, this symptom is a result of a failing LCD CONTROLLR (TCON) BOARD but a faulty MAIN BOARD can certainly cause very similar symptoms. Unfortunately, without a donor TV to swap parts with or a dedicated test rig, it can be very difficult to differentiate between these problems. One quick way to test this is to remove the rear access panel on the TV and then replace the TCON board with a new one, since this is the most often the source of the trouble. You can usually find replacement supply circuit boards online by searching for your TV's model number. Here is a link to a replacement TCON BOARD for your TV currently available at SHOPJIMMY for about $63 US plus shipping:http://www.shopjimmy.com/dynex-569kt04260-t-con-board.htmJust use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information and items at the website indicated. The repair / replacement procedure is not extremely difficult if you have some basic electrical safety knowledge and some basic electronics / mechanical repair skills. You will need to unplug the power cord from the unit, lay the TV screen side down on something soft and flat like a bed if necessary, and then remove the rear access panel or the entire rear cover as required in order to access the circuit boards inside. When you remove the rear cover and access the circuit boards inside, just check the part number that is printed right on your circuit boards and confirm that they exactly match the ones provided in the online listings. Also make sure that any part you order is labelled "TESTED WORKING" in the condition description. Any part with a condition description of "AS IS" is probably faulty itself as well. The TCON BOARD will likely be hidden under its own RF shield cover plate. Just remove the screws / tape securing this protective metal cover as well. Then unclip and remove the various electrical wire connectors leading to the TCON BOARD. Then remove the screws securing the circuit board to the frame and then remove the circuit board itself. Be sure to avoid touching any large capacitors on the power supply circuit board which can retain a nasty charge even after the unit is unplugged. Then just screw in the new circuit board and connect all the wire bundles to their appropriate connectors on the new circuit board and then replace the rear cover. Then plug in the power cord and test. Here is a link to another Expert's solution to a similar problem which includes links to his excellent and informative set of LCD TV / MONITOR TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDES:http://www.fixya.com/support/t10008425-when_turn_tv_picture_flicks_offThese guides will give you some idea of the various problems with LCD TVs and monitors and the associated repair procedures. If you choose to rate BUDMRTN's troubleshooting tips by clicking on the YES THIS WAS HELPFUL icon on his solution page at the above link, then I thank you very much for your time and consideration.I hope that was helpful to you, good luck.Joe.
Using monitor for computer 26" Widescreen\r\non
Hello,
you need to change the resolution from the computer settings in order to make is cover the screen completely.
If you are using windows 7. Right click on the desktop, scroll to personalization. Look by the left down part of the screen and click display. Now look at the left top of the screen and click, adjust resolution. Increase or decrease the resolution from there.
If windows vista, almost the same procedure like windows 7.
If windows xp, right click on the desktop, click properties, and it will go straight to the screen resolution.
In summary, to adjust to make the whole screen cover properly, go to the screen resolution of your computer. You can also get to the screen resolution of your computer through control panel.
Regards.

No picture volume only able to see please wait
I'm assuming that the image is missing completely - not even the menu can be viewed.
Do a simple test: put a powerful flashlight in front of the screen and try to see the image on the screen. If you can then the backlighting tubes or the ballast board (the one that powers them) are not working. You will have to open the tv and test the voltage to the ballast board: if it's there then the ballast board has failed, if it's not there then the power board has failed and it will have to be replaced.
If the image can't be seen then almost surely it's the T-con board the one that failed and it will have to be replaced.

As long as it was a clean break this will be an easy fix. If the tuner got damaged at all, then you will need to replace the whole tuner, which can be a bear if it is a two sided board. You can buy a new connector at just about any electronics store. You will need a soldering iron, solder and wick for the repair. You might be able to just solder the original connector back on if the break is clean enough. You will also need to stick a wire or something like that in the hole to keep the plastic from melting shut from the heat of the iron.
