No.Tv can't pick up any reception or receive any free AIR broadcasting tv channels at all if tv have no antena hook up to a tv.Buy a better antena design to used like a Digital atenna,will solved this problems.

The fault can be on the Ysus,Xsu,or buffer boards you need to takeit to a repair shop for diagnosis

I had same problem with my Hisense TV. I replaced the "Main Board" and it's working fine. I took the TV apart and got the part # off the main board and checked ebay...found one! Good luck.!!

Rule out any loose contacts in power outlet, RC Jack, cables and connectors. The problem described by you calls for opening the back cover and further investigation, which should only be done by a qualified service technician.

You may want to shop for that board or at least consider removal of the HDMI socket in question---tested for shorts there I presume?

make sure set not set to sap mode as this can blank audio on certain channels

tried to hooked up only an areal antenna if still the same problem. just to ensure if the problem is only in the tv .
